Fear of Being Caught | पकड़े जाने का डर
A man named Kedar Datta (real name Diwakar Hazare) works as a coolie at Andheri Station. He earns 20–40 rupees a day, but he is frightened about something. He feels that he has committed a serious crime that he should never have committed. Sitting on a railway platform, he constantly fears being caught by the police.
Meanwhile, in a Mumbai slum, Suhani’s (real name Beauty Sarkar) mother Nilima returns home after finishing her daily work. She cannot find her daughter anywhere in the house. She calls out for Suhani, but there is no response. Suddenly, she discovers Suhani unconscious in the bathroom with her head inside a bucket of water. She calls her neighbors and husband, and they rush Suhani to a hospital. The doctor informs them that Suhani had already died before reaching the hospital.
The police begin their investigation and discover that their neighbor, Kedar Datta, is missing. His phone is switched off, and he was the last person seen entering Suhani’s house. Kedar was a close friend of Suhani’s father and had forgotten his mobile charger there the previous night. He had returned in the afternoon to collect it.
Eventually, the police trace Kedar, and he reveals the reason why he killed Suhani.
कहानी शुरू होती है मुंबई के अंधेरी स्टेशन से। केदार दत्ता नाम का एक शख्स कूली का काम करके 20-30 रुपये कमा रहा है, मगर वह किसी बात को लेकर बहुत डरा हुआ है। उसे बार-बार यह लग रहा है कि उसने बहुत बड़ा गुनाह कर दिया है, जो उसे नहीं करना चाहिए था। वह प्लेटफॉर्म पर बैठा है और डर रहा है कि कहीं पुलिस उसे पकड़ न ले।
दूसरी तरफ मुंबई की एक झुग्गी में सात साल की सुहानी की माँ घरों में काम-काज निपटाकर वापस आती है, तो घर में अपनी बेटी सुहानी को नहीं पाती। वह सुहानी को आवाज़ लगाती है, मगर उसका कोई पता नहीं चलता। अचानक जब वह बाथरूम में देखती है तो चौंक जाती है। उसकी बेटी सुहानी पानी से भरी बाल्टी में औंधे मुंह बेसुध पड़ी होती है। वह चिल्लाकर पड़ोसियों और अपने पति को बुलाती है। सुहानी को अस्पताल ले जाया जाता है, जहाँ पता चलता है कि उसकी मौत हो चुकी है।
पुलिस को बुलाया जाता है। जांच के दौरान पता चलता है कि केदार दत्ता नाम का व्यक्ति, जो सुहानी का पड़ोसी था, गायब है। उसका फोन भी नहीं लग रहा है और आखिरी बार उसे सुहानी के घर जाते हुए देखा गया था। वह सुहानी के पिता का बहुत अच्छा दोस्त था। एक रात पहले वह अपना मोबाइल चार्जर उनके घर भूल गया था और दोपहर में वही लेने गया था।
आखिरकार पुलिस केदार दत्ता को पकड़ लेती है और फिर वह बताता है कि उसने सुहानी को क्यों मार दिया।
