Raghunath Balram (real name Dhananjay Singh, a BSP leader) is a Member of Parliament from his constituency. Before becoming an MP, he served as an MLA. His wife, Abhilasha (real name Jagriti Singh), is short-tempered and keeps her servants under strict control, often subjecting them to physical abuse.
The episode begins with the death of their maid Shanti (real name Rakhi Bhadra), who dies inside their residence. Raghunath files a police complaint claiming that she died after falling from the roof, but the post-mortem report reveals that she died due to severe physical assault.
Police begin their inquiry with Poorab, a servant from their household. A frightened Poorab tells them that he has not eaten for the last three days. After providing him with food, the police hear his account of Abhilasha’s brutality. He reveals that she frequently beat the servants with an iron rod and that Shanti had also been severely assaulted shortly before her death.
Police arrest Raghunath for helping Abhilasha conceal the truth. The case soon attracts widespread media attention. Among those who learn about it is Ankita Ahuja, the wife of businessman Sooraj Ahuja from Gurgaon (Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Delhi in reality). Ankita had allegedly been harassed by Raghunath between 2004 and 2008. Encouraged by the exposure of the case, she gathers the courage to tell her husband the truth, and together they file a case against Raghunath.
रघुनाथ बलराम अपने क्षेत्र का एक दबंग सांसद है। सांसद बनने से पहले वह विधायक था। उसकी पत्नी अभिलाषा बलराम बहुत गुस्से वाली महिला है, जो अपने नौकरों को दबाकर रखती है और उनके साथ मारपीट भी करती है।
एपिसोड की शुरुआत रघुनाथ की नौकरानी शांति की मौत से होती है, जिसने रघुनाथ के घर में ही दम तोड़ा। रघुनाथ पुलिस में रिपोर्ट दर्ज करवाता है कि शांति की मौत छत से गिरने से हुई है, मगर पोस्टमॉर्टम रिपोर्ट खुलासा करती है कि उसे बुरी तरह पीटा गया था, जिसके कारण उसकी मौत हुई।

पुलिस रघुनाथ के नौकर पूरब को हिरासत में लेती है। पूरब बहुत घबराया हुआ है और बताता है कि उसने तीन दिन से खाना नहीं खाया है। पुलिस उसे खाना देती है, जिसके बाद वह अभिलाषा द्वारा दिए जाने वाले अत्याचारों की लंबी कहानी बताता है। वह बताता है कि अभिलाषा उन्हें लोहे के सरिये से मारती थी। शांति की मौत से एक दिन पहले भी उसे लोहे के सरिये से बुरी तरह पीटा गया था।
पुलिस रघुनाथ को भी हिरासत में लेती है क्योंकि उसने अभिलाषा का अपराध छिपाने की कोशिश की थी। यह खबर मीडिया तक पहुँचती है और अखबारों में प्रकाशित होती है। गुड़गांव के एक व्यवसायी सूरज आहूजा की पत्नी अंकिता यह खबर पढ़ती है। वह 2004 से 2008 तक रघुनाथ के शोषण का शिकार रही थी। हिम्मत जुटाकर वह पहले अपने पति को पूरी सच्चाई बताती है और बाद में दोनों मिलकर रघुनाथ के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज करवाते हैं।
