Story of a 26 year old Rakhi Mathur from Ghaziabad who lives with her in-laws. She has a kid also named Ruchi. Ruchi is an educated girl and want to do some job to support the family. On the other hand, her husband Jagat is unemployed also he never allows Rakhi for a job. Rakhi's sister-in-law tantrums Rakhi on unemployment of Jagat because his husband is only taking care of Jagat's family.

Rakhi talks to one of her old friend about a job offer. That friend is arranging an interview for her but Jagat listens Rakhi talking to a man on phone. He tortures Rakhi on this and blames her on having affair with another man. Rakhi shares her trauma with her father and brother. Rakhi's father and bother decided to bring her back.

After few months Rakhi's in-laws decides to bring her back to their home because people of the society are gossiping on their separation. They reaches Rakhi's home to bring her but Rakhi's father puts a condition that they will only send their daughter back if they promise Jagat will not again torture Rakhi. They also takes signature of Jagat and his father on a paper.

राखी माथुर एक 26 साल की होनहार युवती है जो की अपने पति जगत, बच्ची रूचि और बाकी परिवार वालों के साथ ग़ज़िआबाद में रहती है। उसका पति जगत कोई काम धाम नहीं करता है और उसके घर का सारा खर्चा उसके जेठ को ही वहां करना पड़ता है। राखी को अक्सर अपनी जितनी के ताने सुनने पड़ते हैं. राखी खुद नौकरी करना चाहती है मगर उसके घर वाले इसके खिलाफ हैं। जगत ये बोल कर नौकरी करने नहीं दे रहा की लोगों में बातें बनेंगी की पति के होते हुए पत्नी को नौकरी करनी पद रही है।

राखी अपने एक पुराने दोस्त से अपने लिए नौकरी की बात करती है. उसको फ़ोन पर बात करते हुए जगत सुन लेता है। जगत राखी को ताने देता है और मारता भी है की राखी का उस आदमी के साथ चक्कर चल है. राखी वो नौकरी नहीं कर पाती है। इसी तरह से जगत कई बार राखी को परेशान करता है और हाथ उठता है तो राखी अपने घर पर फ़ोन करके अपने पिता और भाई को बुलाती है और अपने रहने चली जाती है।

कुछ महीने बाद जगत के घरवाले राखी को वापस लाने की सोचते हैं क्युकी राखी के यहाँ न होने से मोहल्ले में बहुत बाते बन रही हैं। वो लोग राखी के घर जाते हैं। राखी के पिता उसको इस शर्त पर वापस भेजने को बोलते हैं की जगत या कोई भी राखी पर फिर से हाथ नहीं उठाएगा। और इस बात को वो एक पेपर पर लिख कर सबके हरत्ताक्षर भी करवाते हैं और राखी को अपने साथ ले जाते हैं।
