A long wait
Determined to help, Mahesh decided to move to Mumbai, believing that the city would offer better earning opportunities. With the help of his uncle, Satypal, he managed to convince his parents and left his village with hope in his eyes.
Life in Mumbai: Struggles Begin
In Mumbai, Mahesh started working at a grill manufacturing factory owned by Naseem Qureshi. Initially, he faced difficulties learning the work and adjusting to the harsh environment, but he remained determined.
Despite being young and inexperienced, Mahesh worked hard to prove himself. His goal was clear — earn money and send it back home to support his family.

On 12th April 2005, Mahesh was suffering from a high fever. His uncle advised him to rest, but Mahesh insisted on going to work, saying it was important.
That day, he left home as usual.
But he never returned.
When Mahesh didn’t come back, his uncle grew worried and contacted the factory owner. Surprisingly, Naseem claimed that Mahesh had not come to work for two days and accused him of being irresponsible.
This contradiction raised suspicion.
Mahesh’s family was informed, and panic spread quickly. With no phone or way to contact him, they had no choice but to approach the police.
The police started questioning everyone connected to Mahesh — including:
- Naseem Qureshi (factory owner)
- Farooq (business partner)
- Suleman (co-worker)
- Riyaz (factory staff)
All of them denied knowing anything about Mahesh’s disappearance. Their statements were similar, but something felt off.
During the investigation, it was revealed that on the same day Mahesh disappeared, Suleman had gone for a delivery to Vapi.
However, there was no clear evidence whether Mahesh was with him or not.
Soon after, another shocking development occurred — Naseem Qureshi himself went missing.
Now the case had turned even more mysterious. Two people connected to the same incident had vanished.
Years of Waiting and Pain
Days turned into months, and months into years.
Mahesh’s family never gave up hope. His mother prayed every day for his safe return. His sister Meena held onto memories, tying rakhi each year with the belief that her brother would come back.
Even after 10 years, there was no closure.
An Unsolved Mystery
The case remained one of the most puzzling missing person cases:
- What really happened to Mahesh?
- Why did Naseem suddenly disappear?
- Were both incidents connected?
- Did someone from the factory know the truth?
Despite investigations, interrogations, and years of effort, the answers remained buried in mystery.
Mahesh’s story is not just about a missing boy — it is about a family’s endless wait, a father’s hope, a mother’s prayers, and a sister’s faith.
Some cases don’t just remain unsolved — they leave behind questions that haunt forever.
