Brick kiln owner Ranjan Chauhan is a wealthy and influential man who lives with his wife, while his son Sooraj Chauhan is a medical student staying in a college hostel. Ranjan Chauhan wants Sooraj to leave his medical studies, return home, and take charge of the family business, which is already well established. Following his father’s request, Sooraj leaves medical college and comes back home to learn and manage the business.

On the other hand, in Allahabad, Kajal is trying to get admission into a college for further studies. Kajal lives with her younger brother at her maternal uncle’s house. Years earlier, her parents had died in an accident, and since then her uncle has been taking care of both siblings.

As time passes, Kajal somehow gets married to Sooraj. Sooraj’s family does not make any demands from Kajal’s family, and the couple is later blessed with a child.

In 2015, Sooraj’s father Ranjan Chauhan had a dispute with another contractor named Shukla from the same area. Ranjan warned him to accept some money and leave the contract, but Shukla refused. In anger, Ranjan Chauhan shot him dead. After the incident, Ranjan and his two associates went absconding, but the police eventually arrested them. Ranjan tried to negotiate with the investigating officer, but the officer filed a strong charge sheet against him and sent him to jail.

Sooraj lives in fear that Shukla’s sons may someday take revenge for their father’s murder. One day, when Sooraj returns from a restaurant with his wife Kajal, three assailants enter the area and begin firing at the couple. Kajal dies on the spot while Sooraj is critically injured.

Police later arrest Shukla’s son in Kajal’s murder case.
