2018 का इकीसवां केस | Case 21/2018
The story comes from Balwada village in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, which falls under the Indore division. It is located 214 kilometers from the state capital, Bhopal. The incident was reported by the media on 8th February when a missing girl (played by Meenakshi Dahiya) returned home after seven months. During these seven months, she was molested and sold three times.
This all started on 3rd June 2017 when, after an argument with her elder brother, the girl left home for her maasi’s (mother’s sister) house in Pithampur. On the bus to Pithampur, she met a man named Antim Shitole, who was already known to her. After listening to her situation, Antim suggested that she come with him instead of going to her aunt’s house, promising to help her get married so that the rest of her life would be peaceful and smooth.
From there, Antim brought her to Indore and, along with his two companions Anil and Alpesh, took her to Pratapgarh (Rajasthan), where the duo ran a marriage bureau. In Pratapgarh, he molested her and then sold her to the duo for INR 50,000 (approx. $725).
This duo later sold her again to another man named Nandwana for INR 4.5 lakh (approx. $6625), with whom the girl spent nearly two and a half months. After getting frustrated with her, Nandwana left her at the marriage bureau again, where the duo sold her once more for INR 4 lakh (approx. $5750).
