साल 2018 की शुरुआत में प्रस्तुत यह कहानी मुंबई के बोरीवली इलाके में हुई एक बेहद चौंकाने वाली बैंक लॉकर चोरी के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। एक रविवार सुबह बैंक कर्मचारियों को पता चलता है कि बैंक के दर्जनों लॉकर टूट चुके हैं और अपराधियों ने बैंक तक पहुँचने के लिए एक लंबी सुरंग बनाई थी। यह सुरंग बैंक के बगल में किराए पर ली गई एक छोटी दुकान से सीधे लॉकर रूम तक पहुँचती थी। पुलिस के लिए सबसे बड़ा सवाल यह था कि इतनी बड़ी खुदाई महीनों तक चलती रही और किसी को भनक तक कैसे नहीं लगी।
जांच के दौरान पता चलता है कि दुकान किराए पर लेने वाला व्यक्ति भवानी सिंह नाम से रह रहा था, लेकिन उसकी पहचान और दस्तावेज सभी फर्जी थे। आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों, बैंक रिकॉर्ड्स, मोबाइल डेटा और स्थानीय लोगों से पूछताछ के बावजूद शुरुआती दिनों में पुलिस को कोई ठोस सुराग नहीं मिलता। धीरे-धीरे कुछ संदिग्ध चेहरों, फर्जी पहचान पत्रों और मोबाइल नंबरों की कड़ियाँ सामने आने लगती हैं।

What made the crime extraordinary was the method used by the thieves: they had dug a long underground tunnel from a rented shop next door directly into the bank’s locker room.

The rented shop was operated by a man known as Bhawani Singh, but police soon learned that his identity, documents, and contact details were all fake.
