Aslam owns a tailoring shop. One day, a man named Najeeb comes to him seeking work. During their conversation, Najeeb reveals that he is originally from Teekamgarh near Ludhiana, Punjab. Aslam is shocked because he also belongs to the same village and had left it around 17 years ago while his wife Rehana was pregnant.
Najeeb tells Aslam that he knows Rehana’s family well. He informs him that Rehana had given birth to a son named Shoaib, but she passed away a few years later. Shoaib has since been living with his maternal grandparents.
Nearly two years later, Shoaib suddenly goes missing. His family files a missing complaint, and after an investigation, police discover his dead body at a deserted location. The postmortem report confirms that Shoaib died due to strangulation.
At the same time, Aslam travels to Teekamgarh to meet his son for the very first time. He repeatedly tries calling Shoaib, but the phone remains switched off. After waiting for a long time, Aslam returns disappointed. Later, Najeeb informs him that Shoaib died on the very same day Aslam arrived in the village.
Najeeb begins suspecting that Aslam himself may have murdered Shoaib.

मुंबई में अपना कारखाना चलाने वाले असलम के पास एक दिन नजीब नाम का आदमी नौकरी मांगने आता है। बातचीत के दौरान वह बताता है कि वह पंजाब के लुधियाना के पास स्थित टीकमगढ़ गांव का रहने वाला है। यह सुनकर असलम चौंक जाता है क्योंकि वह भी उसी गांव का रहने वाला है और करीब 17 साल पहले अपनी गर्भवती पत्नी रेहाना को छोड़कर वहां से चला आया था।
नजीब असलम को बताता है कि वह रेहाना और उसके परिवार को अच्छी तरह जानता है। वह यह भी बताता है कि रेहाना ने एक बेटे शोएब को जन्म दिया था, लेकिन कुछ साल पहले उसकी मृत्यु हो गई। तब से शोएब अपने नाना-नानी के साथ रह रहा था।
करीब दो साल बाद अचानक शोएब लापता हो जाता है। परिवार उसकी गुमशुदगी की रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराता है। पुलिस जांच के दौरान शोएब की लाश एक सुनसान जगह से बरामद करती है। पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट में खुलासा होता है कि उसकी मौत गला दबाने से हुई थी।
उसी समय असलम भी टीकमगढ़ पहुंचा हुआ होता है क्योंकि वह पहली बार अपने बेटे से मिलने आया था। वह लगातार शोएब को फोन करता है, लेकिन उसका मोबाइल बंद आता है। काफी देर इंतजार करने के बाद वह वापस लौट जाता है। बाद में नजीब उसे बताता है कि जिस दिन असलम गांव पहुंचा था, उसी दिन शोएब की हत्या हो गई थी।
इसके बाद नजीब को शक होने लगता है कि कहीं शोएब की हत्या असलम ने ही तो नहीं की।
