समीर शुक्ला और उसकी पत्नी रचना एक रात अचानक घर से गायब हो जाते हैं। परिवार पहले इसे सामान्य बात समझता है क्योंकि दोनों पहले भी बिना बताए घूमने चले जाते थे। लेकिन जब कई घंटों बाद भी दोनों वापस नहीं लौटते और उनके फोन बंद आने लगते हैं, तब परिवार पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराता है।

कुछ ही समय बाद उज्जैन पुलिस को समीर की लाश मिलती है, जबकि इंदौर पुलिस को रचना की लाश बरामद होती है। दोनों की हत्या एक जैसे तरीके से की गई थी। पोस्टमॉर्टम रिपोर्ट से पता चलता है कि रचना को पहले नशीली दवा देकर बेहोश किया गया और फिर गला दबाकर मार दिया गया। उसके साथ दुष्कर्म की भी पुष्टि होती है।

जाँच के दौरान पुलिस को पता चलता है कि रचना का कई लोगों से संबंध था, जिनमें कपिल चौकसी, मंगल वर्मा और पृथ्वी त्यागी जैसे लोग शामिल थे। रचना की निजी ज़िंदगी और उसके कई अफेयर्स धीरे-धीरे सामने आने लगते हैं। इसी बीच पुलिस को शक होता है कि इस डबल मर्डर के पीछे कोई करीबी ही है।

आखिरकार पुलिस की जांच नमरता शुक्ला तक पहुँचती है, जो रचना की बड़ी बहन और समीर के बड़े भाई विनय की पत्नी थी। नमरता को रचना की गतिविधियों और उसके गुप्त जीवन के बारे में पहले से जानकारी थी। उसे डर था कि रचना की वजह से पूरे परिवार की बदनामी होगी और उसका अपना घर टूट जाएगा।

नमरता ने पृथ्वी त्यागी के साथ मिलकर समीर और रचना की हत्या की साजिश रची। पृथ्वी, जो पहले रचना से प्यार करता था, उससे बदला लेना चाहता था। दोनों ने मिलकर झूठी जमीन डील के बहाने समीर और रचना को इंदौर बुलाया और फिर उनकी हत्या कर दी। हत्या के बाद दोनों की लाशें अलग-अलग शहरों में फेंक दी गईं ताकि पुलिस भ्रमित हो जाए।

अंत में पुलिस नमरता शुक्ला और पृथ्वी त्यागी को गिरफ्तार कर लेती है। पृथ्वी पर हत्या के साथ-साथ बलात्कार का मामला भी दर्ज किया जाता है। यह केस दिखाता है कि गुस्सा, बदला, लालच और सामाजिक बदनामी का डर इंसान को किस हद तक अपराध करने के लिए मजबूर कर सकता है।

Sameer Shukla and his wife Rachna suddenly go missing one night. At first, the family assumes it is normal because the couple had previously gone out without informing anyone. However, when they do not return for several hours and their phones remain switched off, the family files a police complaint.

Soon after, Ujjain police recover Sameer’s dead body, while Indore police find Rachna’s body. Both victims were murdered in a similar manner. The postmortem report reveals that Rachna was first drugged and then strangled to death. Evidence of sexual assault is also found.

During the investigation, police discover that Rachna had relationships with several men, including Kapil Chokshi, Mangal Verma, and Prithvi Tyagi. Her secret personal life and multiple affairs slowly come to light. Meanwhile, police begin suspecting that someone close to the family is behind the double murder.

Eventually, the investigation leads to Namrata Shukla, Rachna’s elder sister and the wife of Sameer’s elder brother Vinay. Namrata was already aware of Rachna’s activities and hidden lifestyle. She feared that Rachna’s actions would destroy the family’s reputation and break apart her own marriage.

Namrata, along with Prithvi Tyagi, planned the murder of Sameer and Rachna. Prithvi, who was once in love with Rachna, wanted revenge against her. Together, they lured the couple to Indore on the pretext of a fake land deal and murdered them. After the killings, the bodies were dumped in different cities to confuse the police investigation.

In the end, police arrest Namrata Shukla and Prithvi Tyagi. Prithvi is charged not only with murder but also with sexual assault. The case highlights how anger, revenge, greed, and fear of social disgrace can push people toward horrific crimes.
