Crime Patrol Case Story
Foul smell has been coming from a society flat for the last two days in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. A man living near the flat informs the police. He tells them that the owner of the flat lives outside India and that the flat was rented through a broker named Jagdish.
Police call the broker, and he tells them that he rented the flat to a man named Arvind Shukla. He arranges the key for the police. Upon entering the flat, police find the dead body of an elderly man inside a bed box. Police send the deceased’s photo to broker Jagdish, but he confirms that the body is not Arvind Shukla’s. Police call Arvind Shukla, but his phone is switched off. Though it is a blind murder case, police publish the deceased’s photo in newspapers for identification.
A lady in Mumbai named Sunita identifies the body. She calls her friend Kavita Sharma and informs her that police have found the dead body of Vijay Bakshi. Kavita Sharma is the divorced wife of Vijay Bakshi; they divorced two years earlier. She lives with her daughter Archana (played by Shriya Popat) and runs a gift shop in Mumbai. Neither Sunita nor Kavita informs the police that they know the deceased. Daughter Archana also shows no interest in the matter.
Later, police receive a call from property consultant Sandeep Ahuja, who informs them that he knows whose body it is. He tells them that Vijay Bakshi was a wealthy businessman and that they had worked together for four to five months. Through Ahuja, police reach Kavita, but she directly denies taking any responsibility for the case. She also tells them that she did not take any compensation from Bakshi during the divorce. Police inform Kavita that her daughter Archana is nominated in most of Bakshi’s properties.
Further investigation reveals that the murder was conspired by Arvind Shukla, Shoaib, Ejaaz, Satish Gupta, and a call girl named Rupali Sethi…
गाज़ियाबाद, उत्तर प्रदेश के एक सोसाइटी फ्लैट से किसी चीज की सड़ने की दुर्गन्ध आ रही है। उसी फ्लैट के पास वाले फ्लैट का एक निवासी पुलिस को फोन करके बताता है कि उसके पास के फ्लैट से पिछले दो दिन से बदबू आ रही है। वह पुलिस को बताता है कि फ्लैट का मालिक विदेश में रहता है, मगर फ्लैट एक ब्रोकर जगदीश ने किराये पर दिलवाया था।
पुलिस ब्रोकर को कॉल करती है तो वह बताता है कि उसने वह फ्लैट अरविन्द शुक्ला नाम के एक व्यक्ति को किराये पर दिलवाया था। वह पुलिस तक फ्लैट की चाबी पहुंचवाता है। अंदर जाने पर पुलिस को एक डबल बेड के अंदर एक आदमी की लाश मिलती है। ब्रोकर बताता है कि यह लाश अरविन्द शुक्ला की नहीं है। पुलिस अरविन्द शुक्ला को फोन लगाती है मगर उसका फोन स्विच ऑफ है। फिलहाल पुलिस के लिए यह लाश लावारिस है, इसलिए वे उसकी फोटो अखबारों में प्रकाशित करते हैं।
मुंबई में रहने वाली कविता शर्मा की दोस्त सुनीता उस फोटो को पहचान लेती है और कविता को फोन करके बताती है कि विजय बख्शी की लाश मिली है। कविता शर्मा विजय बख्शी की तलाकशुदा पत्नी है जिनका दो साल पहले तलाक हुआ था। कविता अपनी बेटी अर्चना के साथ रहती है और एक गिफ्ट शॉप चलाती है। कविता यह खबर मिलने के बाद भी पुलिस को कॉल नहीं करती और अपनी बेटी को बताती है कि उसके पिता की मौत हो गई है। बेटी अर्चना भी इसमें कोई रुचि नहीं दिखाती और कहती है कि जो व्यक्ति उनके लिए पहले ही मर चुका है, उसके जीने या मरने से उसे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।
इसके बाद पुलिस को संदीप आहूजा नाम के एक प्रॉपर्टी कंसलटेंट का फोन आता है, जो बताता है कि वह इस लाश को पहचानता है। यह विजय बख्शी की लाश है। वह पुलिस को बताता है कि विजय बख्शी एक बहुत अमीर व्यवसायी था और उसने लगभग 4-5 महीने उसके साथ काम किया था। आहूजा के माध्यम से पुलिस कविता तक भी पहुंचती है, मगर कविता साफ मना कर देती है कि पिछले दो साल से उसका बख्शी से कोई संबंध नहीं है। यहां तक कि उसने तलाक के समय किसी प्रकार की कोई एलिमनी भी नहीं मांगी थी। पुलिस कविता को बताती है कि बख्शी ने अपनी ज्यादातर प्रॉपर्टी में उनकी बेटी अर्चना को नॉमिनी बनाया हुआ था।
पुलिस की जांच आगे बढ़ती है तो पता चलता है कि इस साजिश में अरविंद शुक्ला के अलावा एजाज़, सतीश गुप्ता और रुपाली नाम की एक कॉल गर्ल भी शामिल थी…
