Repeated disappointments, financial pressure, and wounded pride slowly change his personality. He repeatedly asks his parents to sell their flat and move to Pune so he can rebuild his life, but the aging couple refuses to leave the home filled with their memories.
As arguments grow more frequent, neighbors begin noticing Majid’s unusual behavior. Days later, milk packets pile up outside the apartment and a strange odor forces neighbors to alert the police. Inside, officers discover a horrifying scene. A note resembling a suicide letter is recovered, while Majid has mysteriously disappeared, making him the prime suspect.
Investigators uncover a history of unemployment, emotional instability, family conflict, and unexplained disappearances linked to Majid. Statements from relatives, neighbors, and family members reveal hidden tensions that had been building for years. Every clue adds another layer to the mystery.
The investigation stretches from old police records to graveyards and religious shrines, exposing painful memories and unresolved relationships. What first appears to be a straightforward crime gradually becomes a heartbreaking story of aging parents, mental decline, shattered ambitions, and generational conflict. As the truth slowly emerges, the case transforms into a powerful reminder of how silent emotional struggles can destroy an entire family, while the final revelation remains best experienced without being spoiled.
जुलाई 2011 में मुंबई के एक शांत अपार्टमेंट में रहने वाले बुज़ुर्ग दंपति नसीर जमाल और शमा जमाल अपनी उम्र के अंतिम पड़ाव पर सुकून से जीवन बिताना चाहते हैं। उनका बेटा माजिद वर्षों विदेश में काम करने के बाद भारत लौटता है, लेकिन उसे अपनी योग्यता के अनुसार नौकरी नहीं मिलती। लगातार असफलताओं, आर्थिक दबाव और टूटते आत्मसम्मान के कारण उसका स्वभाव चिड़चिड़ा होता जाता है। वह बार-बार माता-पिता से घर बेचकर पुणे चलने और नया कारोबार शुरू करने की बात करता है, जबकि बुज़ुर्ग दंपति अपनी पुरानी यादों से जुड़ा घर छोड़ने को तैयार नहीं होते।
धीरे-धीरे परिवार के भीतर तनाव बढ़ता जाता है। पड़ोसी भी माजिद के बदलते व्यवहार को नोटिस करते हैं। कुछ दिनों बाद फ्लैट के बाहर कई दिनों का दूध जमा मिलता है और अंदर से अजीब गंध आने पर पुलिस को सूचना दी जाती है। दरवाज़ा खुलने पर एक दिल दहला देने वाला दृश्य सामने आता है। घर से एक कथित सुसाइड नोट मिलता है और संदेह सीधे माजिद पर जाता है, जो अचानक गायब हो चुका होता है।
जांच के दौरान पुलिस को पता चलता है कि माजिद लंबे समय से मानसिक संघर्ष, बेरोज़गारी और पारिवारिक टकराव से जूझ रहा था। उसकी बहन, बेटा, रिश्तेदार और पड़ोसियों के बयान कई नई परतें खोलते हैं। परिवार के पुराने रिश्ते, अधूरे सपने और बीते वर्षों की घटनाएँ जांच को और उलझा देती हैं।

यह कहानी केवल एक अपराध की नहीं बल्कि बुज़ुर्गों की असुरक्षा, अधूरी महत्वाकांक्षाओं और बदलते समय के बीच बिखरते पारिवारिक रिश्तों की दर्दनाक दास्तान बन जाती है, जिसका अंत लंबे समय तक सोचने पर मजबूर करता है, बिना पहले ही उसका रहस्य खोले।
