सूरज चौहान अपनी माँ के साथ उमरिया में रहता था। उसका पिता नत्थूलाल शराब पीने का आदी था और अक्सर घर में झगड़ा करता था। वह परिवार को परेशान करता और भोपाल में दूसरी औरत के पास जाने की बात करता रहता था। सूरज और उसकी माँ कई सालों से इस मानसिक और शारीरिक प्रताड़ना को सह रहे थे।

एक दिन नत्थूलाल अपने बेटे सूरज के खिलाफ थाने में शिकायत दर्ज कराता है। उसी शाम सूरज अपने दोस्तों राकेश यादव और विक्रम चौकसी के साथ मिलकर नत्थूलाल की हत्या कर देता है। इसके बाद वे लाश को ठिकाने लगाने की योजना बनाते हैं। लाश को एक टेंपो में लहसुन की बोरियों के बीच छुपाकर सुनसान इलाके में फेंक दिया जाता है। पहचान मिटाने के लिए चेहरे को जला दिया जाता है।

Suraj Chauhan lived with his mother in Umaria. His father, Nathulal, was addicted to alcohol and frequently abused the family. He often threatened to leave them for another woman living in Bhopal. Suraj and his mother silently tolerated years of emotional and physical suffering.

One day, Nathulal filed a police complaint against Suraj after an argument. That same evening, Suraj, along with his friends Rakesh Yadav and Vikram Choksi, murdered Nathulal. They later hid the body inside a garlic delivery tempo and dumped it in a deserted area. The killers even burned the victim’s face to destroy his identity. During the investigation, police discovered garlic peels near the body, which eventually helped them trace the transport vehicle and solve the murder mystery.
