Kidnappers Jatin, Ashraf, Shalini, and Atul have a unique modus operandi for executing their kidnapping plan. Through newspaper advertisements, they search for their target, who is looking for a big land deal. They call that person to show them a piece of land and then, at gunpoint, force him to pay a hefty sum of money if he wants to return home safely. That person asks someone he knows to transfer the amount to the kidnappers’ account, and when the amount is transferred, they let their target go. This gang has successfully executed eight kidnapping and ransom plans and is now planning their next target: Bilal Faruqi.
Shalini, the only female member of the gang, has been observing for a long time that Bilal is a wealthy person, and according to her, he is a chief engineer. Shalini first traps Bilal through her own business of organizing big corporate events. Later, these four kidnap Bilal. They force Bilal to transfer 1.5 crore rupees to Jatin’s bank account, but Bilal says that he has never even seen that much money in his life. He also tells them that he is not a chief engineer but a senior clerk who works for his boss, who is a chief engineer.
The kidnappers are now shocked that due to Shalini’s mistake, they have chosen the wrong target. Now they force Bilal to ask his son to transfer fifteen lakh rupees to their account. Bilal talks to his son and instructs him to transfer fifteen lakh rupees to Jatin’s account.
जतिन, अशरफ, शालिनी और अतुल एक किडनैपिंग गैंग के मेंबर हैं। इनके टारगेट ढूंढने का तरीका अलग है। ये लोग पैसे वाली पार्टी को महँगी ज़मीन दिखाने के बहाने शहर से दूर ले जाते हैं और फिर बंदूक की नोक पर उसको अपने अकाउंट में एक बड़ा अमाउंट ट्रांसफर करने को बोलते हैं, जो फोन के द्वारा किसी और से करवाया जाता है। ये गैंग अभी तक आठ टारगेट फांस चुकी है और नौवें की तैयारी में है।
इनका नौवां टारगेट बिलाल फारूकी है। शालिनी पहले बिलाल को अपने बिजनेस के सिलसिले में जाल में फंसाना शुरू करती है और बाद में राह चलते किडनैप करवा लेती है। ये चारों बिलाल को बाध्य करते हैं कि वो जतिन के अकाउंट में डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये अभी ट्रांसफर कराए, मगर बिलाल बोलता है कि इतने रुपये तो उसने अपनी ज़िंदगी में देखे भी नहीं हैं कभी। बिलाल को मारने-पीटने के बाद ये पता चलता है कि बिलाल कोई बहुत पैसे वाला आदमी नहीं है, बल्कि एक सीनियर क्लर्क है, जो अपने बॉस का काम देखता है और उसका बॉस एक चीफ इंजीनियर है। चारों सकते में आ जाते हैं जब उनको ये एहसास होता है कि उन्होंने गलत टारगेट चुन लिया। अब वो लोग बिलाल को पंद्रह लाख रुपये ट्रांसफर करने को बोलते हैं। बिलाल अपने बेटे को फोन पर बोलता है कि वो जतिन के अकाउंट में पंद्रह लाख रुपये डाल दे तुरंत।
बिलाल का बेटा रिजवान स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स को सारी बात बताता है और मामले की छानबीन शुरू होती है।
