A man finds a male dead body during his morning walk. He informs the police, and the police find that the deceased’s face is badly slashed and one of his ears is cut off. Police also find cigarette butts and four glasses that were used for drinking. According to the police, these glasses and cigarette butts must belong to the deceased and the murderers.
The police send the body for a postmortem and begin their investigation to identify the body. Postmortem reports reveal that the deceased was around 20 years old and was stabbed more than 20 times to kill him. The police start identifying bodies based on missing complaints of people in the same age group, but they could not find anything.
Three months passed, and then the Mumbai Crime Branch gave the responsibility of identifying this dead body to their most experienced constable. He identified the body within a few days. According to him, the deceased’s age was around 17 years. After matching missing complaints, he matched this dead body with Rohit Thakur. Rohit was the son of an auto-rickshaw driver and went missing around the same time the body was found in the garden.
मॉर्निंग वॉक करते समय एक व्यक्ति को पेड़ के पीछे एक लाश दिखाई देती है। तुरंत पुलिस को बुलाया जाता है और पुलिस देखती है कि लाश का चेहरा बहुत बुरी तरह से क्षतिग्रस्त किया गया है और मरने वाले का एक कान भी काट दिया गया है। इसके अलावा पुलिस को वहां पर जली हुई सिगरेट और शराब के चार गिलास भी मिलते हैं, जो पुलिस के अनुसार हत्या करने वाले और उसके साथियों के होंगे।
लाश को पोस्टमॉर्टम के लिए भेजा जाता है और उसकी शिनाख्त की कोशिशें शुरू की जाती हैं। पोस्टमॉर्टम में पता चलता है कि मरने वाले की उम्र बीस साल के आसपास होगी और उसके पेट में लगातार बीस से ज़्यादा बार चाकू घोंपकर मारा गया है। उम्र और कद-काठी के हिसाब से मिसिंग कंप्लेंट्स छानी जाती हैं, मगर कुछ नहीं मिलता। तीन महीने बीत जाने पर मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच लाश की शिनाख्त का जिम्मा अपने एक बहुत पुराने और तजुर्बेकार कांस्टेबल को देती है, जो कुछ दिनों में लाश की शिनाख्त कर लेता है। उसके अनुसार मरने वाले की उम्र बीस नहीं, बल्कि सत्रह के आसपास है। मिसिंग कंप्लेंट मिलाने के बाद पता चलता है कि ये लाश रोहित ठाकुर नाम के एक लड़के की है, जो तीन महीने पहले अचानक गायब हो गया था।
अब पुलिस लाश के पास मिले शराब के गिलास और रोहित के दोस्तों के आधार पर रोहित के हत्यारों की तलाश शुरू करती है।
