Dr. Om Prakash Tiwari was a homeopathic doctor and a Congress worker from the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. He attempted to expose alleged irregularities and corruption involving funds allocated under the MNREGA scheme. As a result of his efforts, he was reportedly attacked on two separate occasions.

This episode is based on the real-life case of Dr. Amarnath Panday.

Attack on Dr Om Prakash Tiwari over MNREGA corruption case

During the second attack, Dr. Tiwari was shot while returning home from a market on his scooter. Although he suffered injuries to his head, he survived the attack and was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
