शतरंज की बिसात | Powerplay
Yoginder Joshi (played by Mohit Dagga) is a high-profile pandit as well as a politician from Udaiyapur, Madhya Pradesh. He is the younger of two brothers. Being a high-profile astrologer, he has connections with a number of politicians, businessmen, and bureaucrats in the area.
He is leaving for a trip to Indore for his next conference and is heading towards his car with his brother when he is brutally shot dead by two men dressed as police officers riding a red bike. The assailants fire 6 bullets and flee after confirming that he is dead. They also fire 2 bullets at his brother, but he escapes. Yoginder dies immediately on the spot.
Hearing the gunshots, many of his neighbors along with his mother, father, and sister-in-law come out of their home. They are all shocked as to why Yoginder was killed so brutally.
Police start the investigation from scratch and begin looking for a motive and the shooters disguised as police officers.

योगेन्द्र जोशी पेशे से एक पुरोहित या पंडित है. योगेन्द्र जोशी एक हाई-प्रोफाइल व्यक्ति भी है क्यों की वो बहुत आला दर्जे के लोगों के यहाँ पूजा पाठ का काम करता है. वो दो भाइयों में छोटा है और उसका बड़ा भाई शादी शुदा है. योगेन्द्र का आये दिन कहीं न कहीं आना जाना लगा रहता है.
अगले प्रोग्राम के लिए उससे इन्दोर जाना है। दोनों भाई खाना खा कर घर से निकलते हे। घर से निकल कर बड़ा भाई योगेन्द्र का सामान कार के अन्दर डाल ही रहा होता है कि एक लाल रंग की बाइक पर दो पुलिस वाले आते हैं और योगेन्द्र पर ताबड़तोड़ गोलियां बरसाना शुरू कर देते हैं। बड़ा भाई जब उन पर चिल्लाता है तो वो लोग उस पर भी दो गोली दागते हैं मगर वो कार के पीछे छुप जाता है। दोनों हमलावर योगेन्द्र पर 6 गोली दागते हैं और भाग जाते हैं। पूरा मोहल्ला इकट्ठा हो जाता है और योगेन्द्र की तत्काल मृत्यु हो जाती है.
