Virat Khurana (real name Saurabh Ahuja) is a Delhi-based businessman. He runs a small company that has recently secured a major project. His team is working hard to make it successful. Niharika (real name Shivika Chauhan) is an employee at his company as well as his fiancée. The couple is soon going to get married.
The Insider Crime Patrol Episode ThumbnailOne night, Virat, Niharika, and their colleague Ankit are kidnapped. The kidnappers call Virat’s colleague, Shubham Sehgal, and demand a ransom of ₹3 crore. They warn him that if the money is not arranged, all three hostages will be killed.
After two days, the kidnappers release all three captives. Virat asks Shubham how he managed to arrange such a large amount of money. Shubham explains that he collected ₹16 lakh from Virat’s family and ₹1.05 crore from relatives and acquaintances. Since he could not arrange the full amount, he somehow convinced the kidnappers to accept a lower sum.
Virat becomes suspicious and wonders why the kidnappers contacted only Shubham and how he managed to gather such a huge amount in such a short time. He files a complaint with the police and requests that the investigation begin with Shubham.
Based on the kidnapping of West Delhi businessman Saurabh Ahuja. Later, four people were arrested for abducting him and demanding a ransom of ₹2 crore.

एक रात देर तक काम करते समय विराट, निहारिका और उनके सहकर्मी अंकित का अपहरण कर लिया जाता है। अपहरणकर्ता विराट के मोबाइल से शुभम सहगल का नंबर लेकर उसे फोन करते हैं और ₹3 करोड़ की फिरौती मांगते हैं। वे चेतावनी देते हैं कि यदि रकम का इंतजाम नहीं हुआ तो तीनों को मार दिया जाएगा।
Real photo of accused Shivika Chauhanदो दिन बाद तीनों को छोड़ दिया जाता है। विराट जब शुभम से पूछता है कि उसने इतने पैसे कैसे जुटाए, तो वह बताता है कि ₹16 लाख उसने विराट के परिवार से लिए और लगभग ₹1.05 करोड़ रिश्तेदारों से उधार लिए। वह अपहरणकर्ताओं को पूरी रकम के बजाय कम रकम स्वीकार करने के लिए मनाने में सफल रहा।
विराट को शक होने लगता है कि अपहरणकर्ताओं ने केवल शुभम को ही फोन क्यों किया और उसने इतनी बड़ी रकम इतनी जल्दी कैसे जुटा ली। वह पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराता है और जांच की शुरुआत शुभम से करने का आग्रह करता है।
