18 वर्षीय करण एक होनहार कॉलेज छात्र था। एक सुबह वह कॉलेज जाने के लिए तैयार हुआ और घर से निकलने से पहले अपनी बची हुई पॉकेट मनी अपनी माँ को दे दी। उसकी माँ को यह बात अजीब लगी। उन्होंने उससे पूछा कि वह अचानक पैसे क्यों लौटा रहा है, लेकिन करण बिना कुछ बताए घर से निकल गया।

उस दिन के बाद करण वापस घर नहीं लौटा। उसकी माँ और बहन लगातार उसे फोन करती रहीं, लेकिन उसका मोबाइल बंद मिला। धीरे-धीरे परिवार की चिंता बढ़ने लगी और लगभग 48 घंटे बाद उन्होंने पुलिस स्टेशन में उसकी गुमशुदगी की रिपोर्ट दर्ज करवाई।

परिवार और दोस्तों ने पुलिस को बताया कि करण एक जिम्मेदार और समझदार लड़का था। उसका किसी से झगड़ा नहीं था और न ही किसी प्रेम संबंध की जानकारी सामने आई। हालांकि उसकी माँ और बहन ने यह जरूर बताया कि पिछले कुछ दिनों से वह किसी बात को लेकर परेशान दिखाई दे रहा था।

पुलिस ने उसकी कॉल डिटेल्स खंगालनी शुरू कीं। जांच के दौरान एक नंबर सामने आया जिस पर करण ने कई बार बात की थी। यह नंबर गौरव शिंदे नामक एक बार सिंगर का था। गौरव ने बताया कि उसकी मुलाकात संयोग से करण से हुई थी और पुराने गानों के शौक के कारण दोनों के बीच बातचीत शुरू हो गई थी।

दो दिन बाद पुलिस को रेलवे ट्रैक के पास करण का शव मिला। शुरुआती जांच में मामला आत्महत्या जैसा दिखाई दिया, लेकिन पुलिस को कुछ बातें असामान्य लगीं। इसके बाद जांच वास्तविक दुनिया से निकलकर करण की ऑनलाइन दुनिया तक पहुंची।

पुलिस ने करण की सोशल मीडिया प्रोफाइल की जांच की और पता चला कि वह अंजली नाम की एक लड़की से लगातार बातचीत करता था। अकाउंट की जांच करने पर सामने आया कि दोनों के बीच ऑनलाइन प्रेम संबंध था और उनकी बातचीत काफी आगे बढ़ चुकी थी।

चैट हिस्ट्री से यह भी पता चला कि अंजली के कथित भाई ने उनकी बातचीत पढ़ ली थी और करण को धमकी दी थी कि वह अंजली से दूर रहे।

Online Blackmail and Fake Profile Case

When 18-year-old Karan left home one morning, nobody imagined it would be the last time his family would see him alive. Before leaving, he quietly handed his remaining pocket money to his mother. His unusual behavior worried her, but Karan left without explaining anything.

When he failed to return home and his phone remained switched off, his family filed a missing person report. Friends described him as a bright student with no known personal conflicts. However, his family revealed that he had appeared troubled for several days before his disappearance.

Police investigations led them to a phone number frequently contacted by Karan. The number belonged to Gaurav Shinde, a bar singer who claimed that he and Karan had become friends because of their shared interest in old songs.

A few days later, Karan’s body was discovered near a railway track. While the case initially appeared to be a suicide, investigators decided to examine Karan’s online activity for answers.

The investigation uncovered an online relationship between Karan and a girl named Anjali. Their chat history suggested that the relationship had become emotionally intense. Further examination revealed threatening messages allegedly sent by Anjali’s brother, warning Karan to stay away from her.

When police traced the IP address linked to Anjali’s profile, they made a shocking discovery. The internet connection used to operate the account was registered in the name of Gaurav Shinde. The investigation now took a completely different direction as police brought Gaurav back in for questioning.
