43-year-old Ramdas Kale, who is HIV positive, suddenly goes missing from Sinnar. His cousin Ganesh Kale files a missing person complaint at the local police station. Around the same time, a woman named Nirmala Wagh also disappears from Pune. Her daughter Shalini reports her missing, while a legal dispute between Nirmala and her husband is already ongoing in court.

Three years later, lawyer Vijay Tambat and his wife Suvarna Tambat decide to sell a piece of land near Nashik to construction businessman Kiran Salunke. However, during the property deal, two men approach Kiran and claim that the land actually belongs to missing man Ramdas Kale.

The land is officially registered in Suvarna Tambat’s name, but a shocking issue emerges during the registration process. Officials discover that the property documents include Suvarna’s death certificate — even though she is alive.

Being a lawyer, Vijay Tambat immediately approaches the court and successfully gets the fake death certificate cancelled. The court then orders a police investigation, suspecting that someone may have been murdered in order to falsely declare Suvarna dead.

Police are left puzzled. On one side, Ramdas Kale has been missing for years, yet his land is somehow being sold. On the other side, an alive woman’s death certificate has mysteriously appeared in official records. If Ramdas never sold the land, then who transferred it to Kiran Salunke? And where are the two missing people now?

सिन्नर से 43 वर्षीय एचआईवी पॉजिटिव रामदास काले अचानक लापता हो जाता है। उसका चचेरा भाई गणेश काले पुलिस स्टेशन में उसकी गुमशुदगी की शिकायत दर्ज कराता है। उसी दौरान पुणे से निर्मला वाघ नाम की महिला भी गायब हो जाती है। उसकी बेटी शालिनी उसकी मिसिंग रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराती है, जबकि निर्मला और उसके पति के बीच पहले से ही कानूनी विवाद चल रहा होता है।

तीन साल बाद वकील विजय तांबत और उनकी पत्नी सुवर्णा तांबत नासिक के पास स्थित अपनी जमीन कंस्ट्रक्शन व्यवसायी किरण सालुंके को बेचने का फैसला करते हैं। लेकिन सौदे के दौरान दो युवक किरण को बताते हैं कि यह जमीन असल में रामदास काले की है, जो कई सालों से लापता है।

जमीन सुवर्णा तांबत के नाम पर दर्ज होती है, लेकिन रजिस्ट्रेशन प्रक्रिया के दौरान एक चौंकाने वाली बात सामने आती है। दस्तावेजों में सुवर्णा का डेथ सर्टिफिकेट लगा होता है, जबकि वह जीवित है।

वकील होने के कारण विजय तांबत तुरंत कोर्ट का सहारा लेते हैं और फर्जी डेथ सर्टिफिकेट रद्द करवा देते हैं। इसके बाद अदालत पुलिस को पूरे मामले की जांच का आदेश देती है क्योंकि किसी को मृत साबित करने के लिए संभवतः किसी की हत्या की गई होगी।

पुलिस अब दोहरी गुत्थी में फंस जाती है। एक तरफ वर्षों से लापता रामदास काले की जमीन बेची जा रही है और दूसरी तरफ एक जिंदा महिला का मृत्यु प्रमाणपत्र सरकारी रिकॉर्ड में मौजूद है। अगर रामदास ने जमीन नहीं बेची, तो आखिर यह जमीन किरण सालुंके तक कैसे पहुंची? और दोनों लापता लोग अब कहां हैं?
