Based on the Uma Maheshwari Murder Case
Asha Raman (real name Uma Maheshwari, portrayed by Priyanka Bhole) is a 23-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu who recently joined a software company in Chennai. Her parents are proud of her achievements and allow her to move to the city. She joins the company’s BPO team and befriends Pooja, who works in the same company and stays with her in a girls’ hostel. Asha enjoys her job, adapts well to city life, and spends her free time exploring Chennai with Pooja. A day comes when Asha leaves for work and never returns. The entire night passes without any news of her. The company’s administration confirms that Asha logged out and left the office on time. Pooja informs Asha’s parents, who rush to Chennai and file a missing person complaint. A week later, the police discover a decomposed female body near Asha’s office. Her parents identify the body as Asha’s.

Uma Maheshwari समय बीत जाता है, लेकिन उसकी कोई खबर नहीं मिलती। पूजा उसके ऑफिस में पूछताछ करती है, जहां से पुष्टि होती है कि वह समय पर ऑफिस से निकल गई थी। आशा के माता-पिता को बुलाया जाता है और पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराई जाती है। लगभग एक सप्ताह बाद पुलिस को एक युवती की लाश मिलती है, जिसकी पहचान आशा के रूप में होती है। मामले में कोई ठोस सुराग न मिलने के कारण जांच क्राइम ब्रांच को सौंप दी जाती है। इसके बाद टीम घटनास्थल की जांच कर आसपास के सीसीटीवी फुटेज खंगालना शुरू करती है।
Based on the murder case of 23-year-old Uma Maheshwari, a software professional at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in SIPCOT Park, Siruseri, Chennai. She did not return to her hostel in Medavakkam after work. Following her disappearance, her father filed a missing person complaint. Nine days later, her body was discovered just 200 meters away from her office.
