कहानी कर्नाटक के एक गांव की है। एक सुबह खेत में एक व्यक्ति को एक लाश दिखाई देती है। पुलिस जांच में पता चलता है कि मृतक का चेहरा बुरी तरह कुचल दिया गया था ताकि उसकी पहचान न हो सके। आसपास के किसी भी व्यक्ति द्वारा शव की पहचान नहीं की जा पाती, इसलिए पुलिस नजदीकी क्षेत्रों में दर्ज गुमशुदगी की रिपोर्टों की जांच शुरू करती है।
कुछ समय बाद पुलिस को अनिल कुंदर नाम के एक लापता व्यक्ति के बारे में जानकारी मिलती है। पुलिस अनिल के पिता को बुलाकर शव की पहचान करवाने की कोशिश करती है, लेकिन वह दावा करते हैं कि यह उनके बेटे का शव नहीं है।
पुलिस को उनके बयान पर संदेह होता है। जब वे अनिल के घर जाकर उसकी मां और भाई वेंकट को शव की तस्वीरें और एक तावीज़ दिखाते हैं, तो दोनों पुष्टि करते हैं कि शव अनिल का ही है। दोबारा पूछताछ में अनिल के पिता स्वीकार करते हैं कि उन्होंने झूठ बोला था क्योंकि वे नहीं चाहते थे कि अनिल के कर्जदार परिवार को परेशान करें। जांच में यह भी सामने आता है कि अनिल ने छह महीने पहले आत्महत्या की कोशिश की थी।
इसी दौरान पुलिस को लक्ष्मी रेड्डी नाम की एक बुजुर्ग महिला के बारे में पता चलता है, जो कुछ महीने पहले अचानक लापता हो गई थी। जानकारी के अनुसार, आखिरी बार अनिल ही लक्ष्मी रेड्डी को उसके बेटे के घर से उसकी बेटी के घर छोड़ने ले जा रहा था। उसके बाद से लक्ष्मी रेड्डी का कोई पता नहीं चला।
अब पुलिस के सामने एक हत्या और एक गुमशुदगी का मामला एक-दूसरे से जुड़ा हुआ दिखाई देता है।
Anil Kundar murder and Lakshmi Reddy missing caseThe story is set in a village in Karnataka. Early one morning, a man discovers a dead body in a field. When the police arrive, they find that the victim’s face has been brutally disfigured to prevent identification. Since none of the local residents can identify the body, the police begin reviewing missing persons reports from nearby areas.
After some time, investigators learn about a missing man named Anil Kundar. They summon Anil’s father to the morgue for identification, but he insists that the body does not belong to his son.
The police become suspicious and visit Anil’s home. When they show photographs of the body and a talisman to Anil’s mother and brother Venkat, both identify the victim as Anil. Confronted with this information, Anil’s father admits that he lied because he feared that Anil’s creditors would harass the family. Investigators also discover that Anil had attempted suicide six months earlier.
Meanwhile, police uncover information about an elderly woman named Lakshmi Reddy who disappeared several months earlier. Anil was reportedly the last person seen with her while taking her from her son’s house to her daughter’s residence. After that journey, Lakshmi Reddy vanished without a trace.
The investigation now evolves into both a murder mystery and a missing person case, with possible connections between the two incidents.
