Rangdaari: Patna Businessman Kidnapped for Ransom

Crime Patrol Satark Episode 619–621 (13–14 February 2016)

Omkar Gupta (played by Rajiv Kumar) is a businessman from Patna who is doing well in his Litti Chokha business. He is planning to open a shop in Nalanda and frequently visits there for this purpose. One morning, he receives some calls regarding this and leaves for Nalanda. After he leaves, his wife Nandini receives a call informing her that her husband has been kidnapped and a ransom is demanded.

Nandini files a missing complaint and informs the police about the ransom call. When the police begin their investigation, they are shocked to discover that Omkar did not receive any phone call that morning when he went missing, and his phone location for the past year was never in Nalanda. Instead, he frequently visited Begusarai, not Nalanda. The police also learn that he was addicted to women, and all his visits to Begusarai were for that reason. He was in contact with a woman named Manisha Chandra (played by Geetanjali Mishra), and now both Manisha and her husband are missing.

The police start tapping her phone calls, where she is heard asking someone to kill a person. The police try to track them, but the next phone calls confirm that the murder has already been committed. When the police search across Begusarai, they find a partially decomposed body of a man after two days. The police assume that the body belongs to Omkar Gupta and call Nandini for identification.

ओमकार गुप्ता का बिहार के पटना में लिट्टी चोखा का होटल है जो अच्छा चलता है. अब उसका प्लान नालंदा में भी एक होटल खोलने का है और इसके लिए वो अक्सर नालंदा आता-जाता रहता है. एक सुबह उसको एक फ़ोन कॉल आती है और उसके बाद वो नालंदा के लिए निकल जाता है. उसके नालंदा जाने के बाद उसकी बीवी नंदिनी को फ़ोन आता है कि ओमकार को किडनैप कर लिया गया है और वह आदमी नंदिनी से फिरौती की मांग करता है.

नंदिनी ओमकार की मिसिंग कंप्लेंट दर्ज कराती है और पुलिस को बताती है कि ओमकार का किडनैप हो गया है. जब पुलिस जांच शुरू करती है तो पता चलता है कि उस सुबह ओमकार को कोई फ़ोन आया ही नहीं था और पिछले एक साल में उसके फ़ोन की लोकेशन कभी भी नालंदा नहीं रही है. उसकी ज्यादातर यात्राएं बेगुसराय की थीं. पुलिस को यह भी पता चलता है कि उसे औरतों का शौक था और उसके बेगुसराय के सभी दौरे इसी वजह से होते थे, न कि किसी होटल के काम के लिए.

बेगुसराय में आखिरी बार वह मनीषा चंद्रा नाम की एक महिला के संपर्क में था, मगर जांच के दौरान पता चलता है कि मनीषा और उसका पति दोनों ही गायब हैं.

पुलिस के पास मनीषा का मोबाइल नंबर है और उसे ट्रेस करने पर पता चलता है कि मनीषा किसी आदमी से किसी और आदमी को मारने की बात कर रही है. पुलिस उसे पकड़ने की कोशिश करती है, लेकिन बाद में पता चलता है कि हत्या हो चुकी है. पूरे बेगुसराय में खोजबीन के बाद पुलिस को एक आदमी की सड़ी हुई लाश मिलती है. पुलिस का मानना है कि यह लाश ओमकार की है और इसकी पहचान के लिए नंदिनी को बुलाया जाता है.
