Megaraj Kulkarni, a 75-year-old senior citizen living in Pune, and his attendant Vilas Bhosle are found murdered in his flat. There are no signs of forced entry, indicating that someone inside opened the door for the killers. The police investigate the crime scene and find that Megaraj was stabbed multiple times, while Vilas showed signs of a struggle before being killed.
The murder took place on a day when a prayer ceremony was being held in the flat above, belonging to the Narvekar family. The police suspect that the killers may have used the crowd from the prayer ceremony to enter and exit the building without being noticed. CCTV footage from the society shows several people entering the building, but two unidentified men appear suspicious.
During the investigation, the police discover that a cab was booked from Megaraj’s phone around the time of the murder. The cab driver, Mahesh Raj, picked up two men from a location and dropped them near the society. Those two men are the prime suspects. The police identify one of them as Nikhil Chavan. The motive remains unclear: was the target Megaraj, or was it Vilas? The locker in the house was looted, but only 20,000 rupees were taken, suggesting that robbery may have been a cover for murder.
The police also learn that Megaraj’s elder son, Mayank Kulkarni, had been demanding his share of the property from his father. Mayank would often visit with two or three friends, but never informed his niece Himani, who lived with Megaraj. Suspicion also falls on the household helps, Savita and Nirmala, but nothing concrete is found against them. The case remains unsolved, leading to the next episode.

हत्या उस दिन हुई जब ऊपर वाले फ्लैट में नार्वेकर परिवार के यहाँ एक पूजा चल रही थी। पुलिस को शक है कि हत्यारों ने पूजा की भीड़ का इस्तेमाल बिना किसी के ध्यान में आए बिल्डिंग में आने और जाने के लिए किया होगा। सोसाइटी की CCTV फुटेज में कई लोगों को बिल्डिंग में आते दिखाया गया है, लेकिन दो अनजान व्यक्ति संदिग्ध लगते हैं।
जांच के दौरान, पुलिस को पता चलता है कि हत्या के आसपास के समय में मेगराज के फोन से एक कैब बुक की गई थी। कैब ड्राइवर महेश राज ने दो व्यक्तियों को एक लोकेशन से पिक किया और उन्हें सोसाइटी के पास छोड़ा। वही दोनों व्यक्ति मुख्य संदिग्ध हैं। पुलिस उनमें से एक की पहचान निखिल चवान के रूप में करती है। हत्या का मकसद अभी साफ नहीं है: क्या निशाना मेगराज था या विलास? घर का लॉकर लूटा गया था, लेकिन उसमें सिर्फ 20,000 रुपये थे, जिससे पता चलता है कि लूटपाट हत्या को छुपाने का एक बहाना मात्र थी।
पुलिस को यह भी पता चलता है कि मेगराज के बड़े बेटे मयंक कुलकर्णी अपने पिता से प्रॉपर्टी में अपने हिस्से की मांग कर रहे थे। मयंक अक्सर दो-तीन दोस्तों के साथ आता था, लेकिन उसने कभी भी अपनी भतीजी हिमानी को नहीं बताया, जो मेगराज के साथ रहती थी। शक घर की काम वाली महिलाओं सविता और निर्मला पर भी जाता है, लेकिन उनके खिलाफ कोई ठोस सबूत नहीं मिलता। केस अनसुलझा रहता है, जिससे अगले एपिसोड की ओर इशारा होता है।
