Sofia ki talaash |
(Ep. 281, 282, Crime Patrol Dastak)
Sofia Suleman – Priya Malik
Imraan – Sanjeeva Vats
Shahid- Alok Kumar
Shalini – Ronjini Chakraborty
Nineteen-year-old Sofia Suleman vanishes without a trace from her village in West Bengal after stepping out for a walk (1:41). Her father, Imran, and brother, Shahid, desperately seek help from the local police, who dismiss their pleas, insisting that the studious girl simply ran away with a boyfriend (4:42). The family’s agony deepens as they discover another girl from the same village, Shalini Halder, had mysteriously disappeared just a month prior under similar circumstances (7:45), yet the authorities remain indifferent, failing to investigate potential foul play (10:02).
Weeks later, a glimmer of hope emerges when a neighbor reports seeing Sofia at a Kolkata bus stand with two men (13:59). As the family clings to this lead, Imran’s wife suffers a health crisis, adding to their trauma (19:05). The breakthrough finally comes three months later via a frantic, anonymous phone call: Sofia is being held captive in a brothel on GB Road in Delhi (22:54). Despite this terrifying revelation, the local police refuse to act, forcing the impoverished father and son to take matters into their own hands. They set out for Delhi, but the question remains: will they reach her in time, or is she already lost to a darker fate?
