Three people are traveling in an SUV; one of them is driving. The vehicle is registered in Belagavi, Karnataka, and is currently in Mumbai. At a spot where traffic police are conducting a surprise check, the car is flagged down because its windows have tinted film. The driver, Devendra Gowda, stops the vehicle and steps out to produce the documents. Meanwhile, the two passengers inside suddenly speed off with the car. The traffic police alert all their patrolling teams to intercept the white SUV wherever it is spotted.
Patrol teams search various locations and eventually find the SUV parked by the roadside; the vehicle is empty. The traffic police hand the driver over to the authorities for rigorous interrogation. The driver insists that he only knows the names of the two individuals and nothing else. He is an ordinary driver hired by them for ₹5,000 to bring the vehicle from Belagavi to Mumbai, with his return bus fare also covered. The police are baffled as to who these individuals were and what they were transporting in the vehicle that prompted them to flee with it.
Inquiries with the Karnataka RTO reveal that the vehicle’s registration number is fake. Tracing the chassis number reveals that the vehicle had been stolen several months earlier following the murder of its driver, Girdhar Hegde. The car was originally being transported from Belagavi to Mangaluru by the company when it was stolen en route after the driver was killed.
तीन लोग एक SUV कार में सवार है जिनमे से एक कार चला रहा है। गाडी बेलगाम, कर्णाटक की है और अभी मुम्बई में है। एक जगह ट्रैफिक पुलिस का औचक निरिक्षण चल रहा है जहाँ पर इस कार को रोक जाता है क्योंकि इसकी खिड़कियों पर काली फिल्म चढ़ी हुई है। ड्राइवर देवेंद्र गौड़ा गाडी रोकता है और पेपर दिखाने के लिए उतर जाता है। इसी बीच कार के अंदर बैठे दो लोग कार लेकर अचानक फरार हो जाते हैं। ट्रैफिक पुलिस अपनी सभी पेट्रोलिंग टीम्स को अलर्ट करती है की सफ़ेद रंग की SUV जहाँ भी वो पाएं उसको रोके।
पेट्रोलिंग टीम्स कई जगह ढूंढती हैं और आखिरकार एक रोड के किनारे वो SUV खड़ी मिलती है। गाडी के अंदर कोई नहीं है। ट्रैफिक पुलिस उस ड्राइवर को पुलिस को सौप देती है और कड़ी पूछताछ करती है। वो ड्राइवर लगातार ये बोल रहा है की वो सिर्फ इन दो लोगों के नाम जानता है इसके अलावा कुछ नहीं जानता। वो एक साधारण ड्राइवर है जिसको इनलोगों ने पांच हज़ार रूपये देकर गाड़ी को बेलगाम से मुम्बई लाने के लिए रखा था और बस का वापसी का किराया भी दिया था। पुलिस को समझ नहीं आ रहा है की आखिरकार ये लोग कौन थे और गाडी में ऐसा क्या ले जा रहे थे जिसकी वजह से वो लोग गाडी लेकर भाग गए।
कर्नाटक के RTO ऑफिस से पता चलता है की गाडी का नंबर फर्जी है। गाडी के चेचिस नंबर का पता लगाने पर पता चलता है की ये गाडी कई महीने पहले इसके ड्राइवर गिरधर हेगड़े की हत्या कर के चोरी कर ली गई थी। कार कंपनी की तरफ से ये गाड़ी बेलगाम से मैंगलोर भेजी जानी थी मगर बीच में ही इसके ड्राइवर की हत्या कर के गाडी चोरी कर ली गई।
