This case raises an important question for modern society — should we openly share details about our personal wealth with people around us? Should a woman discuss her husband’s financial condition and family wealth with her friends and acquaintances?

Sahil’s younger brother Piyush gets kidnapped while returning from a mobile shop, where he had gone to recharge his mother’s phone. After nearly 30 minutes, when his mother asks Sahil about Piyush, he realizes that Piyush has still not returned home. He immediately calls his father Narendra, who files an FIR with the police.

Two hours after the kidnapping, Narendra receives a phone call from the kidnappers demanding a ransom of 1.5 crore rupees.

The police begin their investigation and manage to trace the kidnappers within 12 hours of the abduction. Before the police can trap the culprits, Narendra receives another call from Piyush through an unknown number. Piyush informs him that he is calling from a car parking area using a parking attendant’s mobile phone.

The police become convinced that the kidnapping was carried out by someone very close to Narendra and his family — someone who knew crucial details about their financial condition.

नरेंद्र एक व्यापारी है। साहिल और पीयूष उसके दो बेटे हैं। साहिल की माँ उससे मोबाइल रिचार्ज करवाने के लिए कहती है, लेकिन साहिल टीवी देखने में व्यस्त होता है और यह काम पीयूष को दे देता है। आधे घंटे तक पीयूष वापस नहीं लौटता तो उसकी माँ चिंतित हो जाती है और साहिल को उसे खोजने के लिए भेजती है। साहिल उसे कई जगह ढूंढता है मगर वह नहीं मिलता। घबराकर वे नरेंद्र को फोन करते हैं।

दो घंटे बाद एक फोन आता है जिससे पता चलता है कि पीयूष का अपहरण हो चुका है। अपहरणकर्ता डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये की मांग करता है जबकि नरेंद्र के पास इतनी बड़ी रकम नहीं होती।

नरेंद्र एफआईआर दर्ज करवाता है। पुलिस जांच शुरू करती है और बारह घंटे के अंदर अपहरणकर्ताओं तक पहुँच जाती है।

कौन थे ये अपहरणकर्ता?

इन्होंने एक साधारण व्यापारी से डेढ़ करोड़ जैसी बड़ी रकम क्यों मांगी?

क्या उन्हें पहले से पता था कि नरेंद्र के पास इतना पैसा है?
