Meerut Blue Drum Murder Case: Saurabh Rajput Murder Investigation
मार्च 2025 में उत्तर प्रदेश के मेरठ में सामने आए ब्लू ड्रम मर्डर केस ने पूरे देश को चौंका दिया। ब्रह्मपुरी इलाके के एक घर से पुलिस ने सीमेंट से भरे नीले प्लास्टिक ड्रम के अंदर सौरभ राजपूत के शव के टुकड़े बरामद किए। पुलिस के अनुसार, सौरभ की कथित तौर पर उनकी पत्नी मुस्कान रस्तोगी और उसके कथित प्रेमी साहिल शुक्ला ने हत्या की
पुलिस का कहना है कि हत्या की योजना कई महीनों से बनाई जा रही थी। जांच के मुताबिक, सौरभ के खाने में कथित तौर पर नशीली दवाएं मिलाई गईं। इसके बाद साहिल ने कथित रूप से उन पर हमला किया। पुलिस के अनुसार, शव को बाथरूम में ले जाकर टुकड़ों में काटा गया और बाद में एक ड्रम में डालकर सीमेंट से ढक दिया गया। जांच में पुलिस ने कथित तौर पर खरीदे गए चाकू, रेजर ब्लेड, पॉलीथिन और बड़े ड्रम सहित कई सामानों का भी उल्लेख किया।
मामला तब सामने आया जब मुस्कान ने कथित तौर पर अपने माता-पिता के सामने सौरभ की हत्या की बात स्वीकार की। परिवार उसे पुलिस थाने ले गया, जिसके बाद जांच शुरू हुई और पुलिस ने सौरभ के शव के अवशेष बरामद किए। पुलिस ने मुस्कान और साहिल को गिरफ्तार किया तथा मामले से जुड़े कई लोगों के बयान दर्ज किए।
पुलिस के अनुसार, आरोपियों ने सौरभ के जिंदा होने का भ्रम पैदा करने की भी कथित कोशिश की। उनके मोबाइल फोन से संदेश और UPI लेन-देन किए जाने की बात सामने आई। व्हाट्सऐप स्टोरी के जरिए भी सौरभ के जीवित होने का आभास देने का आरोप है। इसके बाद दोनों हिमाचल प्रदेश गए, जहां उन्होंने शिमला, मनाली और कसोल की यात्रा की।
इस मामले में सौरभ और मुस्कान के वैवाहिक संबंध भी जांच का हिस्सा रहे। दोनों ने 2016 में शादी की थी और उनकी एक बेटी है। पुलिस के अनुसार, सौरभ को मुस्कान और साहिल के संबंधों की जानकारी पहले ही हो गई थी और तलाक पर भी विचार किया गया था।
मेरठ ब्लू ड्रम मर्डर केस में सामने आए आरोपों और बरामदगी ने जांच को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सुर्खियों में ला दिया। मामले में पुलिस द्वारा जुटाए गए साक्ष्यों, गवाहों के बयानों और अन्य जांच सामग्री के आधार पर आगे की कानूनी प्रक्रिया तय होनी है।

The Meerut blue drum murder case shocked Uttar Pradesh in March 2025 after police recovered the dismembered remains of Saurabh Rajput from a cement-filled blue plastic drum at a house in Brahmpuri, Meerut. According to police, Rajput was allegedly killed by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her alleged lover, Sahil Shukla.
Police said the alleged murder followed months of planning. Investigators allege that sedatives were mixed into Rajput’s food before Shukla stabbed him. His body was then allegedly dismembered, placed inside a drum and covered with a cement-water mixture. Police also said the accused purchased items including cleavers, razor blades, polythene bags and a larger drum during preparations for the crime.
The investigation gained attention after Muskan reportedly confessed to her parents, who took her to the police station. Police subsequently recovered the body and arrested Muskan and Shukla. Investigators recorded statements from people connected to the case, including those who allegedly sold the drum and medicines.
Police also alleged that the accused attempted to create a false impression that Rajput was still alive. His mobile phone was reportedly used for messages and UPI transactions, while WhatsApp stories were allegedly posted from his account. The pair then travelled to Himachal Pradesh, visiting Shimla, Manali and Kasol, before their arrest.
The case also drew attention because of the couple’s relationship history. Rajput and Muskan had married in 2016 and had a daughter. Police said Rajput had learned about Muskan and Shukla’s relationship earlier and had considered divorce.
The investigation remains based on allegations and evidence being examined by authorities. The case has also raised questions about the alleged planning, digital deception and events surrounding Rajput’s death, making the Meerut blue drum murder one of the most widely reported criminal investigations of March 2025.
