The story comes from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party member Sudhir Yadav’s family consists of his wife Beena, a son, and his mother. At first glance, they seem like a happy family, but something fishy appears to be going on. This comes to light when one day, Beena’s body is found hanging in her kitchen. The incident took place when no one was home.
After Beena’s suicide, her family members filed a dowry lawsuit against Sudhir and his family, and immediately after this, Sudhir fled the city. The police are also trying to find other possibilities that could be related to Beena’s murder. During this investigation, when they went through Beena’s mobile phone records, they found a suspicious phone number belonging to a tantrik baba named Mridul Tripathi.
The police immediately arrested Mridul, and after interrogating him, they learned that this was not a suicide case but a murder that was framed as suicide. The police also learned that the married Sudhir Yadav was having an affair with a girl named Ruby who lived in his locality.
Sujata Gupta is the wife of bank employee Ankur Gupta and the mother of one child. The relationship between the husband and wife is not good. Sujata believes that her husband is having an affair with another woman. One afternoon, Ankur had gone to the office, and only Sujata and her mother-in-law were at home. Her mother-in-law also left the house with her son on some errand.
When she returned in the evening, the door was locked from inside, and Sujata was not opening it. She knocked on the door and called out for a long time, but no sound came from inside. Finally, she called Ankur. Ankur returned immediately from work. A crowd from the neighborhood had gathered. He called a locksmith to open the lock, and when he checked the kitchen, he found Sujata hanging by a rope tied around her neck.
Sujata’s family accused Ankur of dowry death, after which Ankur fled. Police investigation initially suggested a straightforward case of suicide, but as one layer after another began to unravel, everyone was shocked.
