One day, a school bus carrying 11 children is hijacked by an armed gunman. Among the children is an eighth-grade student named Gunjan Sharma (shown as Rajni Pathak). At gunpoint, the hijacker forces the driver to speed toward the Nagaland border.

As panic spreads inside the bus, the gunman attempts to kidnap a small girl. However, Gunjan bravely requests him to take her instead and spare the younger child. The gunman agrees and takes Gunjan hostage while releasing the remaining children.

The next day, Gunjan is found safely near Dibrugarh close to the Nagaland border, where she reaches a police station and reports the entire incident. Police later discover that the hijacker had earlier escaped after a violent quarrel in Simalguri.

Gunjan’s courage receives widespread praise across Assam. Impressed by her bravery, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi announces a reward of two lakh rupees for her. Residents of Simalguri also demand that her name be recommended for the National Bravery Award.

Gunjan, a Class 8 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nazira, later reveals the terrifying ordeal she faced during captivity. She tells police that whenever search teams and villagers came close to the jungle while calling her name, the gunman would push a pistol into her mouth and threaten her to remain silent.

गुंजन केंद्रीय विद्यालय, नजीरा की छात्रा है। वह रोज़ छोटे बच्चों के साथ स्कूल बस से स्कूल जाती है, जो उसे बहुत अच्छा लगता है। उसके पिता एक व्यापारी हैं।

एक दिन स्कूल से घर लौटते समय अचानक एक हथियारबंद आदमी बस में घुस जाता है। बस में कुल 11 बच्चे होते हैं, जिनमें गुंजन भी शामिल होती है। वह अपराधी दो पिस्तौल के दम पर सभी बच्चों को बंधक बना लेता है और ड्राइवर को नागालैंड की तरफ तेज़ी से बस चलाने के लिए मजबूर करता है।

रास्ते में पुलिस चेकिंग भी होती है क्योंकि पुलिस उसी अपराधी की तलाश कर रही होती है। ड्राइवर चालाकी से बस को एक गड्ढे में फंसा देता है। इसके बाद अपराधी एक छोटी बच्ची को अपने साथ ले जाने की कोशिश करता है, लेकिन गुंजन उससे विनती करती है कि वह छोटी बच्ची को छोड़ दे और उसे अपने साथ ले जाए।

अपराधी गुंजन को अपने साथ जंगल में ले जाता है। पुलिस और गांव वाले दोनों को ढूंढने की कोशिश करते हैं। जब भी आसपास लोग गुंजन का नाम लेकर उसे पुकारते, अपराधी उसकी आवाज़ बंद रखने के लिए उसकी मुंह में पिस्तौल डाल देता था।

आखिरकार अगले दिन गुंजन सुरक्षित पुलिस स्टेशन पहुंचती है और पूरी घटना के बारे में जानकारी देती है। उसकी बहादुरी की पूरे असम में सराहना होती है और मुख्यमंत्री तरुण गोगोई उसके लिए दो लाख रुपये के पुरस्कार की घोषणा करते हैं।
