Two suspicious bags were found near a construction site. People from the area called the police, suspecting the bags could contain a bomb. The police and bomb disposal squad arrived and confirmed that the bags contained human body parts instead of explosives. The body was sent for autopsy.

The post-mortem report revealed that the organs belonged to a woman who was eight months pregnant. With the help of graphic experts, the police recreated the woman’s face and circulated her photograph across the city. After receiving no leads, the police announced a reward for anyone who could help solve the mystery.

The police also started checking hospitals and nursing homes where the woman could have gone for consultation. Gynecologists and women in advanced stages of pregnancy were questioned, but nothing useful was found.

Finally, CCTV footage from the nearby area showed two people carrying similar bags on a bike. The bike was driven by a man, while a woman sitting behind him was holding both bags. इसी साल 29 जनवरी को हैदराबाद में यह हत्याकांड रिपोर्ट हुआ था। एक महिला की बॉडी के टुकड़े कोंडापुर के श्रीराम नगर में मिले थे। पोस्टमॉर्टम से यह भी पता चला कि महिला आठ महीने की गर्भवती थी। ग्रेटर हैदराबाद म्यूनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन के अनुसार वहाँ के दो सफाई कर्मचारियों, चिनाइयाँ और रमाइया, ने ये दो बोरे वहाँ पड़े देखे थे जिनसे तेज बदबू आ रही थी।

बोरों पर खून भी लगा हुआ था। शुरुआत में उन्हें लगा कि आसपास के कसाईखानों से चिकन और पिग का बचा हुआ मलबा होगा, क्योंकि ऐसा पहले भी होता था। लेकिन जब उन्होंने एक बोरा खोला तो उनके होश उड़ गए। बोरे में एक महिला का कटा हुआ शरीर रखा था।
