Arrogance

University professor Manali Bhilare witnesses members of the university student union harassing a student named Sanjana. Determined to seek justice, she attempts to file a complaint with the police. However, the police refuse to register the complaint, citing a lack of evidence.

Shortly afterward, Manali mysteriously disappears. Her mobile phone is later found inside her car, which has been abandoned in a forest. The case takes a shocking turn when her lifeless body is discovered inside the university laboratory.

The police launch a murder investigation and begin questioning several people connected to the university. During interrogation, student union leader Aniket Saloke claims that Pankaj, the nephew of the university chairman, had been harassing Manali for some time.

Pankaj strongly denies the allegations and accuses Aniket of using the tragedy for political gain. As investigators examine the conflicting statements, they uncover rivalries, hidden motives, and power struggles within the university.

With multiple suspects and no clear evidence, the police must determine who was truly responsible for Manali’s death and whether her attempt to stand up against harassment ultimately made her a target.

The Neha Sharma murder case of 2013 in Agra is a chilling example of trust betrayed and a crime that shocked the academic community. Neha, a 23-year-old biotechnology student and research assistant, went missing in March 2013. Her body was later discovered inside her university’s biotechnology laboratory under suspicious circumstances.

Investigators focused on Uday Swaroop, a laboratory assistant, and his associate Yashveer Sandhu, a laboratory technician. According to reports, Uday had been stalking Neha and repeatedly harassing her despite her rejection of his advances.

The investigation unfolded over several months before police arrested both suspects. Although there were initial lapses in the inquiry, forensic evidence and witness statements helped establish the sequence of events that led to Neha’s death.

The case attracted widespread media attention and raised serious concerns about student safety, workplace harassment, and the need for stronger safeguards within educational institutions.
