बिजनेसमैन चड्ढा के पोते विहान का दिनदहाड़े उसकी स्कूल बस से अपहरण हो जाता है। अपहरण के बाद अपहरणकर्ता एक करोड़ रुपये की फिरौती मांगते हैं। चड्ढा जब किडनैपर से फोन पर बात करता है तो उसे लगता है कि अपहरणकर्ता या तो कोई महिला है या फिर किन्नर। पुलिस जांच शुरू करती है और पता चलता है कि इस अपहरण के पीछे एक और रहस्य छिपा है—चार साल पहले एक रिटायर्ड कांस्टेबल के बेटे के अचानक गायब होने का मामला।

Businessman Chaddha’s grandson, Vihaan, is kidnapped in broad daylight from his school bus. After the kidnapping, the abductors demand a ransom of ₹1 crore. When Chaddha speaks to the kidnapper over the phone, it appears that the caller is either a woman or a transgender person. As the police begin their investigation, they uncover a deeper mystery linked to the kidnapping—the unexplained disappearance of a retired constable’s son four years earlier.

Crime Patrol Kidnap Episode Inside Story

The Vihaan Gupta kidnapping case from Delhi took place in January 2018, when five-year-old Vihaan was abducted from his school bus. The kidnappers had reportedly attempted to abduct him several times during the previous week. Vihaan was held hostage for 12 days in a flat located in Shalimar City, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad.

The abductors demanded a ransom of ₹60 lakh from his parents and sent photographs and videos of the child as proof that he was alive and safe.

The mastermind behind the kidnapping was Nitin Sharma, a 28-year-old dhaba owner who wanted quick money to fund a lavish lifestyle. He was assisted by two unemployed youths, Ravi and Pankaj. The police launched a rescue operation named “C-River” after tracing the kidnappers’ hideout.

During the police raid, a gunfight broke out. Ravi was killed, while Nitin and Pankaj were arrested. Vihaan was found hiding under a bed. Though terrified, he was rescued unharmed.

Investigators also suspected that someone close to Vihaan’s family may have provided information, as the kidnappers appeared to know about a recent business deal completed by his father.

This case highlights both the trauma experienced by kidnapping victims and the persistence of law enforcement agencies in rescuing children from such dangerous situations.

दिल्ली में हुआ विहान गुप्ता अपहरण मामला जनवरी 2018 का है, जब 5 वर्षीय विहान को उसकी स्कूल बस से अगवा कर लिया गया था। अपहर्ताओं ने इससे पहले भी कई बार उसका अपहरण करने की कोशिश की थी। विहान को 12 दिनों तक साहिबाबाद के शालीमार सिटी स्थित एक फ्लैट में बंधक बनाकर रखा गया।

अपहर्ताओं ने उसके माता-पिता से 60 लाख रुपये की फिरौती मांगी और उसकी सुरक्षा के प्रमाण के रूप में तस्वीरें और वीडियो भेजते रहे।

इस अपहरण का मास्टरमाइंड 28 वर्षीय नितिन शर्मा था, जो एक ढाबा संचालक था और जल्दी पैसा कमाकर आलीशान जीवन जीना चाहता था। उसकी मदद दो बेरोजगार युवकों, रवि और पंकज, ने की थी। पुलिस ने “C-River” नाम से ऑपरेशन चलाकर अपहर्ताओं के ठिकाने का पता लगाया।

छापेमारी के दौरान हुई मुठभेड़ में रवि मारा गया, जबकि नितिन और पंकज गिरफ्तार कर लिए गए। विहान बिस्तर के नीचे छिपा हुआ मिला। वह डरा हुआ था, लेकिन पूरी तरह सुरक्षित था।

पुलिस को संदेह था कि विहान के परिवार के किसी करीबी व्यक्ति ने अपराधियों की मदद की हो सकती है, क्योंकि उन्हें विहान के पिता के हालिया व्यापारिक सौदे की जानकारी थी।
