A quiet family life is shattered when Kanchan receives a devastating phone call informing her that her husband, Vijay Deshpande, has been found dead in a ravine near Khodabandar. Vijay worked as a salesman and had left home earlier that day for what appeared to be a routine client meeting. Nothing about his departure suggested that he would never return.
As police begin their investigation, the postmortem report reveals that Vijay was murdered after being shot. The discovery immediately transforms the case from an accidental death investigation into a homicide inquiry. Detectives learn that Vijay’s office is located only forty minutes away from the crime scene, making his final movements critical to the investigation.
Officers carefully examine CCTV footage from Vijay’s office and surrounding areas, hoping to identify anyone suspicious or uncover clues about his last known activities. Surprisingly, nothing unusual appears in the recordings. His phone records are also scrutinized, but they reveal no threatening calls, suspicious contacts, or unusual communication patterns. With no immediate leads, the investigation begins to stall.
During the inquiry, police discover that Vijay shared a close friendship with Dilip Borakar. Dilip was a frequent visitor to Vijay’s home and had become a trusted member of the family. He was actively helping Vijay secure a government job for Kanchan, earning the confidence of both husband and wife. Because of his close relationship with the family, investigators summon Dilip for questioning.
At first, Dilip appears cooperative and unaffected by the tragedy. However, as detectives dig deeper into Vijay’s personal and professional life, inconsistencies begin to emerge. Gradually, the investigation uncovers a shocking truth: Dilip is not merely a friend of the victim—he is the mastermind behind Vijay’s murder.
The revelation leaves investigators stunned. The focus of the case now shifts from identifying the killer to understanding the motive. Why would a trusted friend plan and execute such a brutal crime? What hidden connection existed between Vijay and Dilip? Was the murder driven by greed, jealousy, betrayal, or a long-buried secret?

यह कहानी शुरू होती है कंचन नाम की एक गृहिणी से, जिसे अचानक एक फोन कॉल आता है। फोन पर उसे बताया जाता है कि उसके पति विजय देशपांडे का शव खोदबंदर के पास एक खाई में मिला है। विजय एक सेल्समैन था और उस दिन एक क्लाइंट मीटिंग के लिए घर से निकला था। परिवार को यह बिल्कुल अंदाजा नहीं था कि यह उसकी आखिरी यात्रा साबित होगी।
पुलिस जांच शुरू करती है और पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट से पता चलता है कि विजय की गोली मारकर हत्या की गई है। अब मामला एक साधारण मौत नहीं बल्कि सुनियोजित हत्या का बन जाता है। पुलिस विजय के आखिरी घंटों की गतिविधियों की जांच शुरू करती है और उसके ऑफिस तथा अपराध स्थल के बीच के संबंधों को खंगालती है।
विजय के ऑफिस की सीसीटीवी फुटेज देखी जाती है, लेकिन उसमें कोई संदिग्ध गतिविधि दिखाई नहीं देती। पुलिस उसके मोबाइल कॉल रिकॉर्ड और संपर्कों की भी जांच करती है, मगर वहां से भी कोई महत्वपूर्ण सुराग नहीं मिलता। ऐसा लगता है जैसे हत्यारे ने अपने पीछे कोई निशान ही नहीं छोड़ा हो।
जांच के दौरान पुलिस की नजर दिलीप बोरकर पर जाती है। दिलीप का विजय के घर में अक्सर आना-जाना था और वह परिवार का करीबी माना जाता था। वह कंचन की सरकारी नौकरी लगवाने में भी मदद कर रहा था। इसी कारण पुलिस उसे पूछताछ के लिए बुलाती है।
शुरुआत में दिलीप खुद को एक शुभचिंतक और करीबी दोस्त के रूप में पेश करता है, लेकिन जांच आगे बढ़ने पर उसके बयानों में विरोधाभास सामने आने लगते हैं। धीरे-धीरे पुलिस को पता चलता है कि विजय की हत्या के पीछे कोई और नहीं बल्कि खुद दिलीप ही है।
यह खुलासा पुलिस और परिवार दोनों के लिए बेहद चौंकाने वाला होता है। अब सवाल यह नहीं रह जाता कि हत्या किसने की, बल्कि यह बन जाता है कि आखिर दिलीप ने ऐसा क्यों किया। विजय और दिलीप के बीच ऐसा कौन सा रिश्ता या विवाद था जिसने दोस्ती को दुश्मनी में बदल दिया?
जैसे-जैसे जांच आगे बढ़ती है, कई छिपे हुए राज सामने आते हैं। भरोसे, महत्वाकांक्षा, लालच और विश्वासघात की परतें खुलने लगती हैं। यह केस दिखाता है कि कभी-कभी सबसे बड़ा खतरा किसी अजनबी से नहीं बल्कि उस व्यक्ति से होता है जिस पर हम सबसे ज्यादा भरोसा करते हैं।
