Ankit Chauhan, a 25-year-old software engineer at TCS, was posted at the Income Tax office in Vaishali, Ghaziabad, through TCS. He had been married for just one month when a tragic incident occurred on April 14, 2015. He was on his way home to Prateik Wisteria in Greater Noida with his friend Gagan when the unfortunate incident took place. Both of them were travelling in Ankit’s Toyota Fortuner.
According to the police, the attack on Ankit occurred in Noida Sector 76. Miscreants travelling in a white sedan blocked their way and began shooting at Ankit, firing three bullets before fleeing the scene. Eyewitnesses claimed that the car may have been a Honda Accord. Gagan, who was with Ankit, said that the first shot caused him to lose control of the Toyota Fortuner, resulting in the vehicle crashing into a tree.
As Gagan did not know how to drive, a bystander took control of the vehicle and drove Ankit to Kailash Hospital. Sadly, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. Ankit was returning after meeting his wife, Ameesha, whose office was located in Sector 135. She was also a software engineer at Accenture.

अंकित के ऊपर ये हमला नोएडा सेक्टर 76 में हुआ था। पुलिस का कहना था कि सफ़ेद रंग की एक सिडान कार में बैठे कुछ बदमाशों ने उसकी कार को सामने से रोका था और उसके बाद तुरंत ही उसके ऊपर फायरिंग करनी शुरू कर दी। अंकित के ऊपर 3 गोलियाँ चलाने के बाद वो लोग वहाँ से फ़रार हो गए। वारदात पर मौजूद लोगों के अनुसार वो सिडान कार होंडा अकॉर्ड हो सकती थी। गगन का कहना था कि पहले सिडान कार से एक आदमी ने गोली चलाई, जिससे बचने के दौरान अंकित का अपनी फॉर्च्यूनर कार से नियंत्रण हट गया और कार वहीं एक पेड़ से जा टकराई।
गगन को कार चलानी नहीं आती थी जिसकी वजह से वहीं मौजूद एक व्यक्ति ने उनकी कार ड्राइव की और अंकित को कैलाश अस्पताल ले जाया गया जहाँ डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। उस दोपहर अंकित अपनी पत्नी से उसके ऑफिस में मिलकर वापस आ रहा था जिसका ऑफिस सेक्टर 135 में था। उसकी पत्नी भी एक्सेंचर में एक सॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियर थी।
