In Maharashtra’s Sangli district, farmer Jagdish had spent years trapped under the debt and employment of the influential Baban Rao. His seventeen-year-old daughter, Vidya (played by Sonakshi More), was bright, ambitious, and exceptionally good with numbers. With her help, Jagdish corrected the complicated accounts and managed to repay his entire loan, including interest, ahead of time. He then left Baban Rao’s employment and decided to work elsewhere so Vidya could continue her education. For the family, it seemed like the beginning of a life free from debt and dependency. But their newfound freedom soon brought an unexpected threat.
Baban Rao considered Jagdish’s repayment a humiliation. Soon afterward, Vidya disappeared while on her way to college. A villager named Bhimrao claimed he had personally seen Baban Rao’s men, Jagtap and Londe, forcing her into a vehicle. Jagdish rushed to the police, but instead of receiving urgent help, he encountered doubt, delays, and pressure. After being threatened, even Bhimrao suddenly withdrew his eyewitness account.
Days later, Vidya returned home, but she was frighteningly silent and refused to explain what had happened. As Jagdish continued demanding justice, the matter finally reached a senior police officer. New statements and evidence began raising disturbing questions about powerful men and those expected to enforce the law. What happened to Vidya during those missing seven days remained the terrifying mystery at the center of the case.

कर्ज चुकने से बबन राव की प्रतिष्ठा को चोट पहुंची। कुछ समय बाद कॉलेज जा रही सत्रह वर्षीय विद्या अचानक गायब हो गई। भीमराव नाम के ग्रामीण ने दावा किया कि उसने बबन राव के आदमियों जगताप और लोंडे को विद्या को गाड़ी में जबरन ले जाते देखा था। जगदीश पुलिस के पास पहुंचा, लेकिन उसकी शिकायत को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया गया। दबाव और धमकियों के बीच भीमराव भी अपने बयान से पीछे हट गया।
कई दिनों बाद विद्या घर लौटी, मगर उसकी खामोशी ने परिवार को और डरा दिया। वह कुछ बताने को तैयार नहीं थी। जब मामला वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी तक पहुंचा, तो धीरे-धीरे ऐसे सुराग सामने आने लगे जो एक प्रभावशाली व्यक्ति, उसके गुर्गों और पुलिस की भूमिका पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े करते थे। अब सबसे बड़ा सवाल था—विद्या उन सात दिनों में आखिर किन हालात से गुजरी थी?
