संदिग्ध | Default Suspect
A robbery takes place at night, and the next day police capture a few suspects. After torturing them, one of them reveals that Raju is involved in the robbery.
Police start searching for Raju in a certain area, and finally they find a 16-17-year-old labourer with the same name. They beat Raju badly and take him to the police station. They torture him to admit the crime, but Raju knows nothing about the robbery.
एक बैंक में रात के अँधेरे में एक चोरी होती है. पुलिस कुछ संदिग्धों को पकड़ती है और पूछताछ करती है. उनमें से एक संदिग्ध बताता है कि इसमें राजू नाम के एक युवक का हाथ है और ये भी बताता है कि राजू कहाँ रहता है. पुलिस के दो कांस्टेबल उसी एरिया में जाकर पूछताछ करते हैं तो पता चलता है कि राजू एक १६-१७ साल का युवक है जो मजदूरी का काम करता है. पुलिस उसको मारते हुए ले जाती है जबकि वो बार-बार बोल रहा है कि उसने कुछ नहीं किया है.
पुलिस स्टेशन ले जाने के बाद पुलिस उसकी बुरी तरह से पिटाई करती है मगर उन्हें चोरी के बारे में कोई सुराग नहीं मिल पाता है. उसका भाई काफी पूछताछ के बाद सही पुलिस स्टेशन पहुँच पाता है जहाँ पर राजू को रखा गया है. पुलिस वाले घायल राजू को छोड़ देते हैं मगर बोलते हैं कि उसे अगले दिन हाज़री के लिए आना होगा. राजू बहुत बुरी तरह से घायल है और बहुत डरा हुआ है. अगले दिन सुबह राजू का भाई राजू को बोलता है कि वो साथ में चलेगा और राजू डरे नहीं. राजू घर के एक कमरे में कपड़े पहनने के लिए जाता है और कमरे को अंदर से बंद कर लेता है. काफी देर तक बाहर न आने पर उसके घर वाले दरवाज़ा खटखटाते हैं और फिर तोड़ देते हैं तो देखते हैं कि राजू फांसी का फंदा बनाकर लटक गया है. वो लोग राजू को तुरंत उतारते हैं और अस्पताल ले जाते हैं.

Babu Thakre, a 16-year-old boy from Mithpada, Bhiwandi, tragically lost his life after being wrongfully detained and allegedly tortured by two constables from the Nizampura police station. Babu, known for his hardworking and helpful nature, was mistaken for another individual with a criminal record who also shared the same name.
The constables reportedly received a tip-off about a man named “Babu” involved in the theft of two kilograms of gold. However, instead of pursuing the actual suspect, they allegedly detained the innocent teenager. Despite repeatedly insisting that they had arrested the wrong person, Babu was kept in police custody and allegedly subjected to torture.
