The Lost Daughters | गुमशुदा बेटियाँ
Anjali Kalita, daughter of Haridev Kalita, goes missing from her village. The villagers suspect three outsiders—Somen, Gaurav, and Divya Mishra—who work with placement agencies connected to Delhi. They frequently visit villages and persuade young people to move to big cities by promising better jobs and brighter futures.
When questioned, Divya denies any involvement in Anjali’s disappearance. She claims that she follows legal procedures in her recruitment work and suggests that Somen and Gaurav may be responsible. Desperate to find his daughter, Haridev leaves for Delhi in search of Anjali.
April 2011
Ramitha, daughter of Nakul Gohen, goes missing. She was last seen speaking with Divya before her disappearance.
August 2011
Anushree, daughter of Prakash Deka, also disappears under mysterious circumstances.
2012
Nakul Gohen unexpectedly spots Somen and manages to catch him. During questioning, a frightened Somen reveals that Nakul’s daughter is working at the house of a man named Ratan Arora in Delhi. He also mentions the names of two placement agencies before escaping.
Meanwhile, another young girl, Viddhi Barman, leaves her village in an unknown vehicle and disappears. Her family has no idea where she has been taken.
2014
A Delhi-based NGO conducts a rescue operation against child labour at a construction site in Hakimpur, Uttar Pradesh. During the operation, they rescue Viddhi, the daughter of Kamlesh from Savera village. When Kamlesh arrives to take his daughter home, he tells the NGO that several girls from nearby villages have disappeared in a similar manner.
The NGO begins investigating the matter and visits Kabirpur village. After speaking with local residents, they repeatedly hear the names of two placement agencies and a man named Ratan Arora. Suspecting an organised trafficking network, the NGO launches a mission to locate and rescue the missing girls.
2010, कबीरपुर और सवेरा गांव
हरिदेव कालिता की बेटी अंजलि कालिता गांव से गायब हो जाती है। गांव वालों को शक है कि इसके पीछे सोमेन, गौरव और दिव्या मिश्रा का हाथ है, जो दिल्ली की प्लेसमेंट एजेंसियों से जुड़े हुए हैं और ग्रामीणों को बेहतर रोजगार का सपना दिखाकर शहर ले जाने की कोशिश करते हैं।
दिव्या मिश्र इन आरोपों से इनकार करती है और कहती है कि वह सभी कानूनी नियमों का पालन करती है। उसके अनुसार अंजलि की गुमशुदगी के पीछे सोमेन या गौरव का हाथ हो सकता है। अपनी बेटी की तलाश में हरिदेव दिल्ली चला जाता है और फिर कभी वापस नहीं लौटता।
अप्रैल 2011 में नकुल गोहेन की बेटी रमिता गायब हो जाती है। उसे आखिरी बार दिव्या से बात करते देखा गया था। अगस्त 2011 में प्रकाश डेका की बेटी अनुश्री भी रहस्यमय परिस्थितियों में लापता हो जाती है।
2012 में नकुल गोहेन को सोमेन दिखाई देता है। वह उसे पकड़ लेता है, लेकिन सोमेन किसी तरह भाग निकलता है। भागने से पहले वह बता देता है कि नकुल की बेटी दिल्ली में रतन अरोड़ा नाम के व्यक्ति के यहां काम कर रही है और दो प्लेसमेंट एजेंसियों का भी नाम बताता है।
उसी दौरान वृद्धि बर्मन भी अपने गांव से गायब हो जाती है। बाद में दिल्ली की एक एनजीओ उसे उत्तर प्रदेश के हकीमपुर में बाल मजदूरी के खिलाफ चलाए गए रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन के दौरान बरामद करती है।
कमलेश अपनी बेटी को लेने दिल्ली पहुंचता है और एनजीओ को बताता है कि कबीरपुर और आसपास के गांवों से कई लड़कियां इसी तरह गायब हुई हैं। एनजीओ जांच शुरू करती है और रतन अरोड़ा तथा दो प्लेसमेंट एजेंसियों तक पहुंचती है। इसके बाद लापता लड़कियों को बचाने के लिए एक बड़ा अभियान शुरू किया जाता है।

Another 19-year-old girl was rescued from West Enclave in Delhi. According to investigators, she had been brought there by Ravinder, who was allegedly involved in an earlier trafficking case.
