Rachna Verma (real name Kiran, 28 and played by Melissa Pais), wife of professor Sanjiv Verma (real name Amarjeet Singh, 30, played by Kuldeep Dubey), has a strained relationship with her husband. She leaves home with an unknown guy (real name Akbarali Warsi, 20 played by Rutwij Vaidya) without informing anyone. She leaves a letter for her husband saying that she is in love with someone else and is unhappy with her married life, so she has finally taken this decision.

Sanjiv is shocked to read the letter that his wife has left him and their 8-year-old son. Sanjiv files an FIR about her disappearance, and finally they recover Rachna’s dead body.

Based on the Nalasopara (Mumbai East) case where Amarjit Verma, a junior college principal, killed his wife with the help of a student and chopped the body into pieces.
