Three men arrive on a motorcycle and knock on the door of late Inspector Shakoor’s house. His wife Rabia, whose real name is Husna Bano, opens the door. One of the men stares at Rabia, Afreen (real name Nida, Maaz’s aunt, played by Jia Mustafa), and Nawab’s younger brother before suddenly shooting Nawab (real name Maaz Ahmad, 14), who is watching television. Nawab dies instantly

The police investigation reveals that the murder was a contract killing carried out by a notorious criminal named Pankaj, who is serving a life sentence in Azamgarh jail. It is also discovered that Afreen had a romantic relationship with a man named Shadab from the same area. The investigation further uncovers a connection between the murder and police inspector Rajiv (real name Sanjay Rai, played by Sanjeev Tyagi), who was in charge of the human trafficking cell in Lucknow. Additionally, the police discover that another officer who had feelings for Afreen was also involved in the murder. This officer had been a trainee after the death of Afreen’s father, Shakoor.
