On the night of Karwa Chauth, a married woman named Kiran is suddenly found dead while playing cards with her friends on the terrace of a restaurant in Chandigarh. Her friends are initially unable to understand what is wrong when she suddenly collapses with her head on the table. At first, they think she is joking, but after noticing blood spots, they call the hotel staff and the police.

The hotel staff immediately rush her to the hospital, but the doctor declares that she is already dead and had died before reaching the hospital.

करवा चौथ की रात कुछ महिलाएं एक रेस्टोरेंट की टेरेस पर ताश खेल रही होती हैं। सभी महिलाएं एक मेज के चारों ओर बैठी होती हैं। तभी उनमें से एक महिला अचानक अपना सिर मेज पर गिरा देती है। उसकी सहेलियों को लगता है कि वह मज़ाक कर रही है, लेकिन ध्यान से देखने पर पता चलता है कि उसके सिर से खून निकल रहा है।

महिला को तुरंत अस्पताल ले जाया जाता है, जहाँ डॉक्टर बताते हैं कि उसकी मृत्यु अस्पताल पहुँचने से पहले ही हो चुकी थी और उसके सिर में गोली लगी थी। पुलिस जांच में पता चलता है कि गोली एक राइफल से चलाई गई थी, लेकिन यह समझ नहीं आता कि किसी को गोली चलने की आवाज़ क्यों नहीं सुनाई दी।
