Premvir Bajwa is a businessman with a short temper. He often fights with his wife Kulbeen and daughter Anchal. He behaves badly toward his daughter and does not allow her to use the Internet because he believes it will lead her down the wrong path. He also refuses to buy a mobile phone for Anchal.
One day, while Premvir is sitting with a business associate, six men arrive carrying shovels and spades and attack him. Premvir tries to run away but cannot escape and collapses on the spot. The masked attackers then flee the scene.
The police begin their investigation by questioning a businessman who had a rivalry with Premvir. He is shocked when the police inform him that Premvir has been murdered. The police then question Premvir’s wife, Kulbeen, who tells them about Premvir’s abusive behavior toward both her and their daughter.
She explains that Premvir was a difficult man by nature and had many enemies. According to her, he frequently beat both of them. The investigation further reveals that the couple regularly fought with each other. The police also uncover a five-year-old complaint filed by Kulbeen alleging that Premvir had assaulted her. A compromise had later been reached between them.
Now the police try to determine what other information Kulbeen may be hiding from them.
प्रेमवीर बजवा एक बिजनेसमैन है जो बहुत सख्त मिजाज़ का है। आए दिन उसका अपनी पत्नी कुलबीर और बेटी आँचल से झगड़ा होता है। उसे अपनी बेटी का इंटरनेट पर काम करना बिल्कुल पसंद नहीं है और इसी वजह से उसने आँचल को मोबाइल फोन भी नहीं दिलाया है। छोटी-छोटी बातों पर कुलबीर को डांटना और मारना उसकी आदत है और कभी-कभी वह आँचल पर भी हाथ उठा देता है।

प्रेमवीर की पत्नी कुलबीर पुलिस को बताती है कि प्रेमवीर का व्यवहार ऐसा था कि उससे नफरत करने वाले बहुत लोग थे और ऐसे में यह कहना मुश्किल है कि उसकी हत्या किसने की होगी। कुलबीर यह भी बताती है कि प्रेमवीर उसे और उसकी बेटी को अक्सर मारता-पीटता था।
पुलिस जांच में सामने आता है कि दोनों बराबर एक-दूसरे से लड़ते थे। पांच साल पहले कुलबीर ने प्रेमवीर के खिलाफ मारपीट की शिकायत भी दर्ज कराई थी, जिसकी जानकारी उसने पुलिस को नहीं दी। इसके अलावा कुलबीर ने बताया कि प्रेमवीर की अपने बड़े भाई से लगभग रोज़ बातचीत होती थी, जबकि पुलिस रिकॉर्ड से पता चलता है कि उनकी बात महीने में केवल एक या दो बार ही होती थी।
