ढोंगी | The Imposter
Ashok Goyal is a caterer by profession and works in partnership with a friend. During a function, he meets Kiran and gradually falls in love with her. After convincing Kiran’s parents, the two get married. Ashok tells them that he is alone and has no close family background. Although Kiran and her parents know very little about him, they trust him, and the marriage takes place.
Six months later, the couple is living happily and Kiran is four months pregnant. One night, their doorbell rings, and Kiran is shocked to discover that Crime Branch officials have arrived at their home. During the search, officials recover an illegal firearm from the house. Ashok is arrested, and the officers inform Kiran that Ashok has a criminal background and that the police are investigating his activities and intentions.
Crime Branch officials also reveal that Ashok left his home during childhood and eventually reached Mumbai. As a teenager, he became involved in unlawful activities and later continued associating with criminal groups along with a friend he had met earlier in life.
