Delhi is shocked by two back-to-back murders in the East Delhi area. Both of the deceased are young girls. The first incident took place when a girl named Maithli was returning home. A few guys in an auto-rickshaw came and teased her. They tried to pull off her dupatta (scarf), but the dupatta got stuck around her neck. As a result, the girl lost her balance and was dragged along with the speeding auto. Her dupatta stretched so badly that her throat was choked, and she died.
The police began their investigation, but in the meantime, another piece of bad news came from the Mayur Vihar area, where a girl died after being stabbed multiple times. Witnesses told the police that the girl tried to escape, but the two men who killed her chased her on a bike and stabbed her to death.
दिल्ली में एक के पीछे एक दो हत्याएं होती हैं। दोनों ही हत्याएं जवान लड़कियों की हुई हैं, जो छेड़खानी की शिकार थीं। मैथली, दिल्ली के प्रीत विहार में रहने वाली इस लड़की की हत्या तब हुई जब वो अपनी कोचिंग से घर वापस लौट रही थी। चश्मदीदों के अनुसार मैथली को चलते ऑटो में बैठे कुछ लड़के छेड़ रहे थे। जब उसने विरोध करने की कोशिश की, तो उन लोगों ने उसका दुपट्टा खींचना चाहा, जिससे उसका दुपट्टा उसके गले में फंस गया और वो असंतुलित होकर गिर पड़ी। तेजी से चलते ऑटो के साथ वो काफी दूर तक घसीटती चली गई और इसी में उसकी मौत हो गई।
दूसरी घटना भी मयूर विहार में ही हुई, जहाँ एक लड़की को दो लड़कों ने दौड़ाकर चाकू घोंपकर मार डाला। चश्मदीदों के अनुसार दो लोग बाइक पर थे। पहले तो उन्होंने लड़की के हाथ और पीठ पर चाकू से वार किया, और उसके बाद जब वो गिर गई, तो बाइक से उतरकर लगातार कई बार उसे चाकू से गोद डाला, जिससे उसकी तत्काल मृत्यु हो गई।
Inside Story
The above story is based on the brutal murder of a 19-year-old girl in Central Delhi’s Anand Parbat area, who was stabbed 35 times outside her home. The accused, two brothers living in her neighborhood—Jai Prakash alias Sunny and Illu—were arrested. The victim’s family claimed that she had previously filed a police complaint against them for molestation and acid attack threats, but no action was taken. Police denied receiving any such complaint, stating that the victim and accused had a strained relationship and fought over petty issues.
On the evening of the attack, the brothers allegedly confronted her as she returned from grocery shopping, verbally abused her, and then stabbed her repeatedly. She succumbed to her injuries at RML Hospital. The family also alleged that despite several witnesses, no one came forward to help her. The victim’s mother claimed she was also stabbed by the accused while trying to save her daughter. No case of molestation was ever registered against the accused at Anand Parbat or Kamla Market police stations, according to DCP Parmaditya.
