Police discover the dead body of a 23–24-year-old man in Igatpuri whose face has been completely smashed. The body has no identification, making it a blind murder case for the police. Soon after, another dead body is found in Vakroli village near Kasara Ghat in a similar condition, with the face smashed and no identification.
The postmortem reports confirm that both murders are connected and that one of the victims is Muslim. During the initial investigation, the police decide to trace one victim through a tailor’s tag found on his shirt. The tag shows the partial place name “Bel…” and the tailor’s name “Prasad,” prompting the police to activate their informers to locate a tailor with this name in the Belapur area.
इगतपुरी पुलिस को एक युवक की लाश मिलती है जिसकी उम्र 23-24 साल के आसपास है। लाश का चेहरा बुरी तरह से कुचला गया है और उसके कपड़ों में कोई भी पहचान करने लायक चीज़ नहीं मिलती। बिल्कुल इसी हालत में एक और लाश वकरोली गाँव, कसारा घाट के पास मिलती है, जिसे भी उसी तरह मारा गया है।
पोस्टमॉर्टम रिपोर्ट से पता चलता है कि दोनों हत्याएँ आपस में जुड़ी हुई हैं और मरने वालों में से एक मुस्लिम है। पुलिस के लिए यह एक ब्लाइंड मर्डर केस बन जाता है क्योंकि शवों के पास कोई पहचान नहीं मिलती। लेकिन गहराई से जांच करने पर एक शर्ट पर टेलर का टैग मिलता है, जिस पर “प्रसाद” नाम और “बेल…” से शुरू होने वाली जगह का नाम लिखा होता है। इसके बाद पुलिस अपने खबरियों को बेलापुर में ऐसे टेलर की तलाश करने के लिए लगा देती है।
