गणपति विसर्जन के अंतिम दिन निखिल सानप अपने कार्यालय से रोज़ की तरह घर लौट रहे थे। वह लोगों के पैसे ट्रांसफर करने का काम करते थे और अक्सर उनके बैग में लाखों रुपये नकद तथा ग्राहकों की जानकारी वाला लैपटॉप रहता था। रास्ते में किसी सुनसान जगह पर उन पर किसी भारी वस्तु से जानलेवा हमला किया गया। गंभीर रूप से घायल होने के बावजूद निखिल किसी तरह स्कूटर चलाकर घर पहुंचे, लेकिन खून से लथपथ हालत में बेहोश हो गए। होश खोने से पहले उन्होंने केवल ‘राहुल’ नाम दो बार लिया और तीन उंगलियों का इशारा किया, जिससे पूरा मामला रहस्य में बदल गया।
अस्पताल में डॉक्टरों ने स्पष्ट कर दिया कि यह सड़क दुर्घटना नहीं बल्कि सुनियोजित हमला है। कुछ ही देर बाद निखिल की मौत हो जाती है और मामला हत्या में बदल जाता है। पुलिस जांच के दौरान घटनास्थल से खून से सना लकड़ी का टुकड़ा बरामद करती है और फॉरेंसिक जांच हमले की पुष्टि करती है। दूसरी ओर निखिल का नकदी से भरा बैग और लैपटॉप भी गायब मिलता है, जिससे लूट का शक गहरा जाता है।
जांच आगे बढ़ने पर पुलिस की नजर कई संदिग्धों पर जाती है। पड़ोसी चायवाला राहुल यादव, रिश्तेदार और पूर्व सहयोगी राहुल केंद्रे, निखिल की पत्नी हिमांगी और बड़े भाई राजीव—सभी अलग-अलग कारणों से शक के दायरे में आ जाते हैं। निखिल के अंतिम शब्दों और तीन उंगलियों के इशारे का अर्थ समझने की कोशिश में पुलिस हर बयान और हर सबूत को नए नजरिए से परखती है। लेकिन जैसे-जैसे जांच आगे बढ़ती है, नए तथ्य सामने आते हैं और मामला पहले से भी अधिक उलझता चला जाता है। आखिर निखिल ने मरने से पहले किस राहुल का नाम लिया था और इस हमले के पीछे असली साजिश किसने रची थी, यही सवाल पूरे मामले को अंत तक रहस्यमय बनाए रखता है।
On the final day of the Ganpati Visarjan celebrations, Nikhil Sanap left his office to return home as usual. He operated a money transfer business and regularly carried several lakh rupees in cash along with a laptop containing sensitive client records. While travelling through a relatively isolated route, he was brutally attacked with a heavy object. Despite suffering severe head injuries, Nikhil somehow managed to ride his scooter back home before collapsing. Moments before losing consciousness, he repeatedly uttered the name “Rahul” and raised three fingers, leaving behind a mysterious clue that became the foundation of the investigation.
Doctors soon confirmed that the injuries were not the result of a road accident but of a deliberate assault. Nikhil later succumbed to his injuries, turning the case into a murder investigation. Police recovered a blood-stained wooden object from the suspected crime scene, while forensic analysis supported the theory of a violent attack. At the same time, Nikhil’s cash-filled bag and laptop were found to be missing, suggesting that robbery might have been involved—or possibly used to conceal a deeper motive.
As investigators reconstructed Nikhil’s final journey, suspicion spread across multiple individuals. Tea stall owner Rahul Yadav, former associate and relative Rahul Kendre, Nikhil’s wife Himangi, and his elder brother Rajiv all emerged as potential suspects for different reasons. Every statement, phone record, and forensic clue raised new questions rather than providing answers. The meaning behind Nikhil’s final words and the gesture of three fingers became increasingly complicated, transforming the case into a tense mystery where every suspect appeared to hide something, keeping the identity of the real mastermind concealed until the very end.
