(Death of Lovers, Ep. 829, 830)
This story is based on a gruesome double murder reported in Lonavala on 3rd April. Police found two stripped bodies at S-Point in a forest area. The victims were identified as Sarthak Wagchore and Shruti Dumbre, final-year engineering students at Sinhgad Institute of Technology in Lonavala. Shruti’s hands were tied behind her back and her mouth was stuffed with cloth. Both had severe injuries on their heads and backs. Police suspected involvement of more than one person and registered a case under IPC Section 302 against unknown assailants.
इसी साल 3 अप्रैल को लोनावला के टाइगर पॉइंट पर आईएनएस शिवाजी और एयरफोर्स स्टेशन के बीच सिहाँ-गढ़ इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज के दो स्टूडेंट्स की लाशें मिली थीं। ये लाशें 22 साल के सार्थक वाघचौरे और 21 साल की श्रुति डुंबरे की थीं। पुलिस के अनुसार इनकी हत्या रविवार शाम साढ़े सात और सोमवार रात 2 बजे के बीच की गई थी। हमलावरों ने दोनों को बुरी तरह पीटा और उनके कपड़े उतारकर जंगल में फेंक दिया। लड़की के हाथ पीछे बाँधे गए थे और मुँह में कपड़ा ठूँस दिया गया था। उनके सिर और पीठ पर गहरे घाव थे। पुलिस का मानना था कि इस हत्याकांड में एक से अधिक लोगों का हाथ था। इसके बाद पुलिस ने अज्ञात हमलावरों के खिलाफ आईपीसी की धारा 302 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया।

22 साल का सार्थक फाइनल ईयर मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग का छात्र था, जो राहोरी, अहमदनगर जिले का रहने वाला था और लोनावला के भंगवाड़ी में रहता था। दूसरी ओर, 21 साल की श्रुति उसी कॉलेज में फाइनल ईयर कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग की छात्रा थी, जो कॉलेज हॉस्टल में रहती थी। श्रुति जुन्नर के ओतुर की रहने वाली थी। घटना के बाद पुलिस ने दोनों के परिवारों को सूचित कर दिया।
22-year-old Sarthak, a resident of Rahori in Ahmednagar district, lived in Bhangwadi, Lonavala, and was a final-year mechanical engineering student. On the other hand, 21-year-old Shruti was a final-year computer engineering student at the same college and lived in the hostel. She was from Otur in Junnar. After the incident, the police informed both families.
