फ़रीदाबाद, हरियाणा के एक मोहल्ले में दिन दहाड़े एक वृद्ध पुरुष जय किशन दहिया और उनकी 48 वर्षीय पत्नी रानी दहिया की हत्या कर दी जाती है। उनका मकान 2 दिन से बंद है और अब मकान में से सड़ने की गंध भी आ रही है। जब मकान का दरवाज़ा खुलवा कर देखा जाता है तो पाया जाता है कि अंदर पति-पत्नी की लाशें हैं।
दोनों पति-पत्नी अकेले रहते थे। उनकी एक बेटी भी है नपुर हुड्डा, जिसने अपनी मर्ज़ी से शादी की थी और उसके बाद घर से अलग हो गई। जय किशन का एक बेटा भी था जिसकी बचपन में ही बीमारी के चलते मृत्यु हो गई थी। जय किशन के कई मकान, दुकानें और बिल्डिंग थीं जो किराए पर उठी हुई थीं और इन सबका किराया क़रीब 18 लाख रुपए महीने का आता था। जय किशन को देखकर बिल्कुल भी ऐसा नहीं लगता था कि उनके पास इतनी दौलत है क्योंकि वो और उनकी पत्नी बेहद साधारण तरीके से रहते थे।
दोनों की हत्या के बाद पुलिस का शक 2 लोगों पर है। पहला शक जय किशन की पहली पत्नी से हुई बेटी नपुर पर है और दूसरा जय किशन के भतीजे आनंद पर, जो जय किशन का पूरा अकाउंट देखता था।
पुलिस जाँच के दौरान जब तिजोरी को खोला जाता है, पुलिस को उसमें 2 करोड़ से अधिक रुपए मिलते हैं मगर आनंद का कहना है कि पूरी रकम में से 12 लाख रुपए कम हैं।
यह एक चौंकाने वाला खुलासा है कि अगर तिजोरी में इतने सारे रुपए थे तो उनकी हत्या करने वाले ने सिर्फ 12 लाख ही क्यों लिए।
An elderly man Jai Kishan Dahiya (played by Gyan Prakash) and his 48-year-old wife Rani Dahiya are murdered in broad daylight in a locality in Faridabad, Haryana. Their house remained locked for 2 days and a rotten smell started coming from inside. When the door of the house is opened, police find the dead bodies of the husband and wife inside.
Both husband and wife were living alone. They also had a daughter Napur Hooda (played by Geetanjali Mishra) who had a love marriage and later separated from the family. Nupur is the daughter of Jai Kishan from his first wife. Jai Kishan also had a son from his second wife Rani, who died in childhood due to illness. Jai Kishan owned many houses, shops and buildings which were rented out, and the estimated rent from all these properties was about 18 lakh rupees per month.
After the murders, police suspect 2 people. The first suspicion is on Napur and the second is on Jai Kishan’s nephew Anand (played by Rajeev Kumar), who used to take care of Jai Kishan’s accounts and earnings.
During the police investigation, when the locker is opened, the police find more than Rs 2 crore in cash, but Anand claims that Rs 12 lakh is missing from the total amount.
This is a shocking revelation because if there was so much money in the locker, then why did the killers take only 12 lakh rupees?
