Amjad Baig is an electrician who runs a successful business. Faheem and Harish also work at his shop. Amjad belongs to Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and shifted to Mumbai many years ago. His talent and hard work are the reasons behind his successful business. He has rented a small space outside his shop to a tailor named Mukhtar.

One morning, when Amjad arrives at his shop, he appears extremely nervous. Suddenly, he picks up a knife and starts stabbing Mukhtar repeatedly. Mukhtar is rushed to the hospital where doctors declare him dead.

Meanwhile, Amjad reaches his home, changes his blood-stained shirt, packs a bag, and runs away. His wife Meena is shocked to see him covered in blood.

No one understands what happened between the two men that pushed Amjad to kill Mukhtar. Police are also unable to find any immediate clue. During the investigation, police discover that Meena is Amjad’s second wife, while his first wife later married Amjad’s younger brother. Investigators also learn that Meena and Faheem are originally from Bangladesh and had illegally entered India many years ago.

अमज़द बेग की मुंबई के मुंब्रा इलाके में बिजली की दुकान है जो काफी अच्छी चलती है। उसके साथ उसकी दुकान पर फहीम और हरीश भी काम करते हैं। अमजद उत्तर प्रदेश के आजमगढ़ का रहने वाला है और कई साल पहले मुंबई आकर बस गया था। अपनी मेहनत और हुनर के दम पर उसने यह दुकान खड़ी की थी। दुकान के बाहर की थोड़ी जगह उसने मुख्तार नाम के एक दर्जी को किराए पर दे रखी थी।

एक सुबह अमजद अपनी दुकान पर पहुंचता है और काफी परेशान दिखाई देता है। अचानक वह दुकान से चाकू उठाकर मुख्तार पर हमला कर देता है और उसे बुरी तरह घायल कर देता है। आसपास मौजूद लोग मुख्तार को तुरंत अस्पताल ले जाते हैं जहां डॉक्टर उसे मृत घोषित कर देते हैं।

दूसरी तरफ अमजद खून से सनी शर्ट पहनकर घर पहुंचता है। उसकी पत्नी मीना यह देखकर हैरान रह जाती है। अमजद बिना कुछ बताए कपड़े बदलता है, बैग पैक करता है और फरार हो जाता है।

किसी को समझ नहीं आता कि आखिर ऐसा क्या हुआ कि अमजद ने मुख्तार की हत्या कर दी। पुलिस जांच में पता चलता है कि मीना उसकी दूसरी पत्नी है जबकि उसकी पहली पत्नी हसीना ने तलाक के बाद अमजद के छोटे भाई से निकाह कर लिया था। पुलिस को यह भी जानकारी मिलती है कि मीना और फहीम दोनों बांग्लादेश से अवैध रूप से भारत आए थे।
