Crime Patrol | Wealthy Farmer Madhusudan Bagchi murder case (Episode 275, 276 on 27, 28 July 2013)

Was It Robbery or Revenge?

Madhusudan Bagchi (real name Krishna Chandra Mal, 50) was a hardworking farmer from a small village in West Bengal. His high-quality rice harvest was purchased by major companies, earning him respect as well as jealousy from others. His peaceful family life took a frightening turn when he discovered a threatening letter on his tractor demanding ₹50,000. The message warned that if he failed to pay, his family would suffer terrible consequences. Instead of giving in, Madhusudan informed the police. Officers laid a trap at the location mentioned in the letter, but no one arrived to collect the money. The incident appeared to be a false alarm, yet an uneasy fear continued to haunt the Bagchi family.

Only a few days later, that fear became reality. In the middle of the night, a group of masked men stormed into the Bagchi home. They overpowered the family, created chaos, brutally murdered Madhusudan, looted the house, and subjected his wife, Sharbani (wife had affair with a man named Zico Pal), to horrifying violence. Their young son, Sumit, survived but was left traumatized and unable to speak. As investigators searched for answers, the case seemed to have no clear motive. Then, when Sumit slowly recovered, he remembered recognizing the voice—and perhaps even the face—of one of the attackers from a place he had visited before. That single memory opened the door to a much deeper mystery, one that was far from being solved.

During the investigation police comes to know the involvement of Amit Sen and Aparna (played by Geetanjali Mishra).
