बोईसर के ठेकेदार माधव नारायण के बड़े बेटे रमेश की मुंबई के मीरा रोड स्थित फ्लैट से अगवा कर लिया जाता है। अपहरणकर्ता दस लाख रुपये की फिरौती मांगता है और पुलिस में शिकायत करने से मना करता है। माधव मीरा रोड पुलिस स्टेशन में केस दर्ज करवाते हैं।
शक अमित नाम के एक सब्जी विक्रेता पर जाता है, जो पिछले डेढ़ साल से रमेश के साथ रह रहा था। अमित पर विक्रम कपाड़िया का साठ हज़ार रुपये का कर्ज़ था, जो वह चुका नहीं पा रहा था। माधव नारायण ने अमित को बेटे की तरह माना था, फिर भी अमित ने अपने दोस्त दीपक राजपूत के साथ मिलकर अपहरण की साजिश रची।
अमित अलग-अलग जगहों – अंधेरी स्काईवॉक, बांद्रा, नायगाँव, जोगेश्वरी रेलवे यार्ड – से फोन करता है, ताकि लोकेशन ट्रेस न हो सके। वह माधव को रमेश से बात करने से मना कर देता है। रमेश और अमित दोनों के फोन बंद रहते हैं।
आखिरकार नायगाँव स्टेशन पर अमित और दीपक रमेश से आमने-सामने मिलते हैं। रमेश उनकी योजना का विरोध करता है और पुलिस में शिकायत करने की धमकी देता है। गुस्से और डर में अमित और दीपक रमेश की हत्या कर देते हैं।
बाद में अमित माधव के सामने टूट जाता है। पुलिस दोनों को IPC की धारा 363 (अपहरण) और 302 (हत्या) के तहत गिरफ्तार करती है। कहानी का संदेश है – शॉर्टकट हमेशा बरबादी की ओर ले जाते हैं। ईमानदारी का कोई विकल्प नहीं।
Ramesh Narayan (Real name Kalpesh Saroj), a college student living in Mumbai’s Mira Road area, is kidnapped. His father, Madhav Narayan (Real name Ramchandra) , a contractor based in Boisar, receives a ransom call demanding ten lakh rupees. The kidnapper warns him not to contact the police.
Madhav files a complaint with the Mira Road police. Suspicion quickly falls on Amit, a vegetable seller who had been living with Ramesh (Real name Ganesh Ramchandra Shriram for the past eighteen months. Amit was struggling to repay a loan of sixty thousand rupees taken from a moneylender named Vikram Kapadia. Despite Madhav treating Amit like his own son, Amit conspires with his friend Deepak Rajput to stage the kidnapping.
Amit calls Madhav multiple times, changing locations each time – Andheri Skywalk, Bandra, Naigaon, Jogeshwari railway yard – to avoid tracking. He refuses to let Madhav speak to Ramesh. Meanwhile, both Ramesh and Amit’s phones remain switched off.
Desperate, Madhav pleads to hear his son’s voice. The kidnappers finally arrange a meeting at Naigaon station, where Amit and Deepak confront Ramesh directly. When Ramesh refuses to cooperate and threatens to expose them, panic ensues. In a moment of rage and fear, Amit and Deepak kill Ramesh.
Later, Amit breaks down before Madhav, unable to explain why he betrayed the man who had been a father figure to him. The police arrest both Amit and Deepak under IPC sections 363 (kidnapping) and 302 (murder). The episode ends with a stark warning: short‑cuts in life lead only to destruction. Honest effort has no substitute.
